Just messing around, but do Bills trade a 2nd for Foles (think they would need to trade more though) and then try to move up in draft and take a QB. If they get the QB they want (they would only move up if he was there, like move up to say 7 while pick 7 is on the clock) and flip Foles? I would think if you held Foles into preseason and looks ok, you can get a 2nd + easy for him.

Word was they wanted multiple firsts. I would think they'd have to get at least 1 first though. I personally wouldn't want to use a first on Foles

Pick 22 on a QB that is your starter for the next 5 years

He isn't on the Brady level but I would think he is on the Cousins level

It's interesting. He is under contract for one more season and then he would be due a nice raise (the Bills would have cap space by then)

They can go DL in the 1st, OL and LB in the second and WR in the 3rd

Then worry about drafting a QB in the next 3 years

Just a thought not sure I would want to do it but if you think of all the draft capital it would take to move into the top 5 this is another option to do that.

Offer:

Pick 21 or 22 doesn't matter and a 4th for Foles and a 6th

Idiots, unless they get the Bills to offer like 3 1sts and 2 seconds to move up

Worst case is Foles isn't the guy long term and the guy picked at 21 isn't the guy either (what else is new for Buffalo?)

Best case is Foles is the guy and the guy drafted at 21 is the next Jimmy G so you either move Foles or the new guy in 3 years.

You're right Fisher ruins everyone lol

I think the Kyle Williams touchdown is what helped break the flutie curse and the draught.

Wouldn't foles be asking or expecting a sign and trade?
Alex Smith type #'s and term?

We just need a lucky bounce with either of these franchises. We are so due.

Some draft luck , at least McDermott has a clue.
I like what he's doing

REPORT: Cousins down to Jets or Vikings.

OK, so all 3 Vikings QB's will be in play for other teams too, if they sign him, if Jets do then they won't draft one. OK, sounds good.

Foles is under contract for 1 more year at $12 or 13 million

I would then give him a 4 year $20 million per after that year is up

So

2 1sts
3 2nds basically (Glenn)
1 3rd
1 5th

Yikes

- Stripes77

That's really heavy

Especially for a Bills team with some interior depth needs. Lb needs.
I wouldn't do it personally this year.
Rather build the team first, then give trade future picks like kc did.

Ty for one more year ??

Highly doubt it. They haven't once endorsed him. My guess at this point is that they let his bonus kick in and trade him after. Sucking up his bonus would boost his value. Plus, they have plenty of time to draft a guy and pick up a veteran.

That's the only reason I would move a first for Foles and then keep the other picks

Trade a first for Foles move Tyrod for a 5th potentially trade Glenn for a late 2nd or 3rd

Then use that draft capital to build more depth and get some starters out there.

Foles is your guy for 5 years and in year 3-5 in the draft look for the future guy.

I know this is a QB driven league Foles is clearly an upgrade to Tyrod.

If Foles is the Bills QB last year they probably lose to the Patriots in the conference finals. Or maybe the Steelers but they at least beat the Jags.

I want to Bills to get Mayfield

I don't want the Bills to not have any draft picks the next 2 years though.

The Bills have next to zero depth and have many holes that need to be filled on the roster.

It's a tricky situation.

Thankfully I am not the one that has to make the decision.

I still think Rudolph will end up being a better pro than Mayfield.

Perhaps, I will be honest I don't know a ton about Rudolph

I know the Bills need to draft their own guy eventually I would just like to keep the momentum going and see if they can get Foles for a 1st and keep building the team around him.

This draft is huge if they hit on their guys in the first 3 rounds they can get 3-4 day 1 starters.

%100 agree.
Foles should win you 2 more games per year then ty at qb.

2 wins is huge in the nfl

This is going to be a really exciting draft year.
It's fun for the bills to be relevant again.

Have we ever had a better defensive backfield?
Tre day
Poyer
Hyde
V Davis

Winfield- Clements- Jones?????

The secondary is the Bills strength. They could still use a good 3rd QB for depth.

I'd love for the Bills to get a DT and a DE to rush the passer and get Griffin for UCF to play linebacker. I watched him a lot, the kid would be a 1st rounder like I said yesterday if he had two hands. He is an athletic freak and his motor is always going. Plus what a freaking great story.

I was hoping we draft Mike Gesicki in the 2nd zero chance with him having the same speed as Antonio Brown now a top 10 pick

Griffin would fit in great with the bills. What a great inspiration.

I see the bills moving down with the kc pick. Adding more picks.

Move from 22 to 28-35 and add a 3rd this year and next.
Draft Griffin with that pick

Mchomes for:
Tre
Griffin
2019 3rd or 4th

I like that. Is raanta ufa? Surprised he wasn't moved at the deadline. They just traded and signed for the kings guy.

Hopefully it hurt raanta's feelings a bit.

I'm ok with Chad too like Michael mentioned a few blogs ago. Nice guy, you know what your getting. Pretty sure he knows the back up role. I think the sabres are taking a real look at him currently. 3 of 4 last starts including tonight.
