Just saw the Boeser hit, hopefully he'll be ok, looked worse than it was I think. Clutterbuck is solid

Good thing the Canucks have all that grit in the lineup to dissuade opponents from hurting their star players. I’m sure Bucksey got a bunch of face washes and stern words directed towards him.

Boeser hit Clutter and got hurt. There is no preventing that.

It was an accident but I don't think anyone on the Nucks could take Clutterbuck

Ahh, I see.

So Edler makes a clean open ice hit, gets challenged to fight and refuses and is labeled soft, the team is soft, no push back, no grit. Guddy comes out publicly (after the hit on Boeser against LA) saying when I’m back things will be different, no more free passes.

Clutsey should know better p, he should have fallen down or something when he saw Boes coming because he was so scared of all the grit that would be in his face.

So, Boeser goes to hit Clutterbuck and bounces off him like a flea, flying into a door that was left open too long because of a line change, Motte exited through the gate after Jake came off, and we should be sending toughness over to deal with Clutterbuck?
If anything, maybe rub out teammate Motte and show him how to jump over the boards when changing, "this is how we do it in the big leagues, son" type of chat.

Deep bone bruise?

Hopefully nothing too long-term and more just precautionary!

- NewYorkNuck

Looks more like dislocated hip to me... can't see them shutting him down for a bruise.

Actually, I’m not saying any of those things, I’m making fun of the people who think having a guy like Gudbranson in the lineup for his “toughness” is a good idea

I know we are generally all in on the loss, but I thought Marky played well. Two of the goals were weird rebounds with a guy wide open - that tying goal with the net empty should have been around the boards and out the shot was so wide. The other goal was 2011 era Sedin touch pass worthy to JT at the side of the net, who roofed it. Beauty goal!

I smiled when they won in OT

I will give Marky credit where it's due but to me he played better last year backing up Miller. The rebound goals sure not much he could do but the Tavares goal...probably should have had it from that angle.

Difference between a backup and a starter in this league is top starters can keep the game to 2 goals or less and give the club a chance to win every night. Whether it's mental or physical...Markstrom just just can't keep that 3rd or 4th goal from going in. It's easy to see now why FLA put him out there for trade. But it is what it is. Helps our draft position and Demko will arrive sometime next year I'm assuming.

Yes and no, I bet on a better team, with better D Markstrom “looks” better. Niemi did win a cup...

Yea not sure I can get there on that one considering the amount of weak shots that 'trickle' past him. Our D sucks yes but even goalies playing in front of 'top 4' defense will struggle...I mean look at the Flames...

Good point on Neimi as they did win that cup in spite of him...but I would take Niemi at his best over Marky at his best anyday...

I new what you were saying, i was just implying that college trained kids, Boeser and Motte, still have somethings to learn.

This team is up around or above Chicago in the standings with league average goaltending this year at .909, and if Miller was still with the team they'd be in the sniffing for a wildcard

The D sucks, but goaltending has been atrocious.

Tough injury to watch. Good lesson for Virtanen who changed and was not paying attention to the play standing in the doorway without any urgency to close the gate. Keep the all gates closed in practices too if you coach kids.

Poor Virt. The kid can't catch a break.
