Tough injury to watch. Good lesson for Virtanen who changed and was not paying attention to the play standing in the doorway without any urgency to close the gate. Keep the all gates closed in practices too if you coach kids.

- VanHockeyGuy

Motte went out through the gate after Virtanen came off, causing a bit of a logjam, but hey Patti O sullivan lol

This team is up around or above Chicago in the standings with league average goaltending this year at .909, and if Miller was still with the team they'd be in the sniffing for a wildcard

The D sucks, but goaltending has been atrocious.

- Lindenis#1

I feel like someone said this at this point the season the last three years.

There's no singular position fix, I agree goaltending is worse this year (I said this before the season started, two backups is good for the tank). This whole team is atrocious though, let's not kid ourselves.

Poor Virt. The kid can't catch a break.

I'm sure that idiot Botchford will write a full article on how JV is to blame for the Boeser shut down injury...

it was the hand that wields the bench door, not the bench door open at issue here.

It's (frank)ing crazy. I don't know what he did to deserve it but he's definitely got some sort of target on him. I can't figure it out. The dog houses, the world juniors, and now Gate-Gate.

The kid's going to develop a complex.

Yeah he has had a f load of bonuses most people didn't think he would get from the all-star game.

He probably really wanted that 30 goal bonus.

Negative. The schedule A bonus's just count towards next years cap

And?
I mentioned he has maxed out his Schedule A bonuses, whether they are paid this season or next is kinda irrelevant.

I feel the cap (mis)management of this team should be a larger talking point than it is

We are talking about 600k. Who cares. Its FAs money anyway. Its fine to try and factor in bonus's within the cap but i dont think most teams allocate that much cap for every player to hit their bonus's

The excuse before was that they were inherited a bunch of bad contracts.

Well once the Sedins are off the books this year, every contract next year will be a Benning contract outside of Edler who has a solid cap hit considering that he’s still a legit top 4 dman, and the team’s best dman this season.

No more excuses
