We’re much closer than the math guys and the bitter guys - or Gerbe - recognize. - Der Kaiser
We’re a playoff team with:
-Dahlin & Guhle improving the defense
-Mittelstadt at 3C giving us a 3rd line that scores
-some guys coming up from Rochester & playing decent as wingers
-bringing in a 4C who can win faceoffs in our own end
-steady goaltending
Definitely some “ifs”
But if we get Dahlin,
everything else is pretty reasonable
What i gathered from backreading this thread is people dont have any appreciation for scotch whiskey. Its beautiful, curious, and extremely polarizing in the same breath.
Highland
Lowland
Islay
Island
Campbeltown
Speyside
All are single malt varietals named for the different regions they come from. All have different styles and use different ingredients and mixtures to differentiate themselves. Comparing highland park to lagavulin is like appes and oranges, the only real similarity in is the country of origin.
Blended scotches mainly use single grains, and have a different nose, touch and breath all together from malts. Theres a distinct difference in flavor, ingredients, and aging processes which produce a different product all together.
Bourbon for the most part is just bourbon, very little character compared to scotches. In order to be a bourbon they all have to use a certain percentage of ingredients, aged for a specific time period in a specific type of barrel and be from the state of kentucky. All scotch is not just scotch. I (frank)ing love the stuff.
Sam is gonna get a bridge deal
No way we’d give him the $$$ he’d want long term - jdfitz77
I don't think so ....... he's gonna get paid. He should by the way ...... not a breaking the bank deal mind you.
He's the ONLY guy on this team that goes to the net and he's simply the best passing forward behind the net. He's a pure play maker. He's not going anywhere.....

Yeah I don’t see him being moved yet, or at all right now.
If we miraculously land Dahlin.....were in good shape
If they were able to work Foles for a 2nd, I think I would like the Bills to trade one of their firsts to move back. Browns 2 early 2nds maybe. - Hatboro_Swords
I like it
they need depth
and they didn't a guy in to run a cam newton offense, the guy worked with brady

The problem with Sam is the for the most part the problem with Lehner....... because of their draft position (or what we gave up for him), the fan base will simply not accept anything but HOF production.... and immediately by the way. It's a tough way to make a living in Buffalo with those expectations hanging over your head.
When Sam is the 5th best forward on this team he's gonna be worth his weight in gold.
someone just gave me a bottle of lagavulin.
It tastes like a Band aid that I dug out of my garden after the snow melted. - seedy
Thats funny you described it like that. Its a quintessential islay single malt. They use a lot of peat from the peat bogs in those and a lot of people really like that flavor. Peat, smoke, and dirty band aid are one in the same. I personally can only drink islay scotches with a dark maduro wrapped cigar. Even then i still prefer others. Try a speyside or lowland next time, youll get more apple cider, butter, pancake and syrup qualities from those. islays are the most polarizing of all.

Wrong.
I wanted to like lehner. He is terrible on a fundamental level.
Just watch him play. Forget the stats, he sucks as a goaltender in this league.

I dont need to watch the video. Thats a pot still irish whiskey. No interest, sorry. - TheHank
It's not just about Redbreast, it's about all whiskies and what makes whisky whisky and what makes whiskey whiskey, and bourbon, and malts and blends. American, Scotch, Irish, Japanese... It's about all whiskey.
Im sorry to hear that.
I have an unopened case of 2013 yamazaki sherry cask in the basement. Your bourbon cant light a candle next to that stuff. Look it up.... Sorry
