Problem is, the Sabres only have 1 good center left. Playing him with larsson/Josefson/girgs as a center isn't great for him

exactly... I think it would send a bad message if he got called up before someone else, make him earn the call up.

I'm glad he is starting to show some signs of life though... but keep it going in Rochester for the rest of the year, he's just getting in a rhythm there, Dont want to disrupt that by a call up for some meaningless minutes on the 4th line in the NHL.

Oh I do agree, that has been my mantra for all prospects.
In fact your post sounds as if I wrote it myself.

His last 7 games or so has been much, much better even I have to admit it. Maybe, the thing to do is call him up 3 games and give him a boost mentally.

Porter is more useful down there. There veterans are doing well, the kids are picking it up.

A Nylander call up now to play a few with the big boys will be good before he goes back down for the playoffs.
