And in my opinion, it was a high pass. It would have been a Dwight Clark type of catch if Harmon could have hauled it in. Not an easy catch. Should have been thrown better. Harmon gets killed for this all the time, and I seem to be the only one that's defended him. Maybe I'm just an a-hole ? - kritter65

Floated but both hands touch the ball and should’ve been caught.
Poor execution on both ends. |

Dude! You are completely wrong basing your opinion on facts, logic and your eyes.
Don't you know he is:
-an entitled 8th overall pick,
-only 19 (he isn't)
-has 13 points in last 20 games
Clearly, these points far outweigh the facts of his actual play.
I want to see him up for 3 -5 games so everyone can see what an absolute stud he is...that is all.
He needs a lot more time in the A to earn a rigjtful promotion, but too many on bere wat h with several pairs of rose-colored glasses on. |

I think you're all WAY off on the Nylander front. Sure, he's put up some points recently, but they're almost exclusively insignificant second assists and garbage rebounds as a result of great plays by his linemates (Krause and Malone). If anything, his overall play has gotten much worse and he should see the AHL press box for a bit. He's being outclassed by guys like Bailey, Porter, Colin Blackwell, Justin Danforth, and DMB (DMB / Danforth / DSmith has been our best line during these last few weeks).
He's fast, but he plays like he's made of glass and is totally uninterested when he doesn't have a chance to score. He won't fight to the net, he won't go to the corners, he doesn't backcheck, he's AWFUL in the defensive zone, won't take a hit to make a play, doesn't hustle to the bench when changing, shies away from blocking shots, and more.
Every so often you see a flash of the crazy skill he was drafted for, but they are few and far between and are constantly overshadowed by an ever-growing mountain of terrible and lazy plays. The most frustrating part is that he simply looks like he doesn't want to be here. There is zero intensity to his game and it's incredibly obvious.
If the Sabres are really doing a good job watching their players in the AHL, he shouldn't see the big leagues for quite a while.

Really?
Honestly how in the hell did you not know who he was, no matter age? |

Beau had much more experience coming into that contract than Casey. This is the first time he's been recalled and looked competent. So I don't think he's earned that contract or will get some $3M offer from another team. Also, I think that he's decent but nothing spectacular. That means he'll face a lot more competition for a spot on most other teams. He's a walk on for us. I think that will count for something when coupled with the fact we gave him a lot of opportunities.
Just my speculation. I think that's all we have. Time will tell. - RhinoFan
I agree with you in general, it's just a tough situation to read. If he hits free agency, it just takes one team...and a lot of teams do crazy things in free agency. If he plays enough games next season, he loses his UFA status. He should try to cash in on it, while he can.

Kelly threw 405 that game and completed 28/54
18 of 28 came out of the backfield to Thomas(13 for 150), Harmon (4 for 50), and Kinnebrew (1 for 7).

No one had older brothers?
For a generation with all this technology, you sure don’t use it.
We had to either watch it live read it in the paper, or if you were lucky enough had cable and could catch highlights. |

The pass was very catchable for a professional football player. Harmon should have caught it.

Great inside scoop from a season ticket holder
I rather hear about the "eye test", then see the stats
Good report.
I'm hoping he gets it together.
Hard to believe he's going to be a complete bust.
Heading that way though

It was but Kelly goofed on the play as well.
He definitely floated it. He was wide open by a mile, there was no need to float it.
That said both hands on the ball and should’ve been caught.
Both to blame IMO |

Not going to lie.......
I had looked it up when I was getting the stats.
I was 10, chance of me remembering some guy that played 2 seasons and had like 35 receptions in his career are slim. |
