I remember him but forgot all about him....

I agree with you in general, it's just a tough situation to read. If he hits free agency, it just takes one team...and a lot of teams do crazy things in free agency. If he plays enough games next season, he loses his UFA status. He should try to cash in on it, while he can.

Yeah, I see your point. It isn't as though there aren't a number of teams looking for bottom pairing or depth defenders either. He could certainly take a cut to go to a contender like Pitt or T.O. who are weak on the back end.

I didn't know who he was, either. I was 4 or 5 when that game happened and wasn't even living in Buffalo yet (I lived in and was born in NC). Today is the first time I've ever seen that play or any portion of that game.

He definitely should have caught that ball.
