80% 5 x5
I get what your saying about 5 x5 but,
Go the the nhl , league standings
Top 16 teams have a plus goal differential
It maybe the same for 5 x5 , but from that stat, all goals are judged evenly.
I went to the game , I like Ror, wish he was there tonight.
Risto was for sure - Boss34
Good teams will score on the PP usually.
One of the reasons people assumed our PP wouldn’t repeat last years performance is because it’s rare to be one of the worst 5 on 5 teams, but have the best PP. We were bound to regress.
Score 5 on 5, be a good hockey team. Someday it will be us |

You are looking in the wrong place for a stupid argument.
Try someone else. - Boss34
Just saying that judging QBs by “championships won” is a bad way to compare
Foles didn’t win a Super Bowl
The EAGLES did
He played well & was a part of it
But it’s a team sport
Guys have played poorly & won
And played great & still lost
Foles is a good backup
He’d be a low end starter
Better than Tyrod?
Probably
Trading a pick(s) for a guy who would likely only start 1 year for us is a bad idea |

They why don’t defensemen take faceoffs?
Why does every single coach put his best faceoff guy on the ice in important situations?
It matters - jdfitz77
The Carolina Hurricanes lead the league in faceoff percentage and currently do not hold a playoff spot... |

I'm just not sure if any player in any sport can be the greatest without ever winning a championship?
Tiger/ jack
Jordan/bird/kobe/magic/LeBron
Gretsky/lemieux/ crosby/ howe/ orr/ hasek
Babe Ruth / every other yankee/
Brady/ manning/ farve/ rodgers/ Montana
See the common thread. Winning.
Can you come up with the greatest without ever winning?
Just curious. Pete rose?

Winning a championship doesn't make you great, but you can rarely be considered great unless you win a championship. They're are exceptions, but you would have to dominate your peers in just about every stat (i.e. Marino), and those people are few and far between. |

Good teams score goals and prevent goals from going in. Someday it will be us.
If we win in ot game 7 of the Stanley cup on the pp, it would count the same as 5 x 5

And Buffalo was the best team in the NHL in PP last year ............. look where that got us.
This year we were the worst PP for most of the season ........ look where that got us. |

We got our signals crossed here
I was just saying that using rings was a bad way conspire QBs bc you used that when u compared Alex Smith & Foles
Smith plays a role on getting his team to the playoffs year in & year our
Foles can’t even keep a “starting position”
A small sample soze of good games doesn’t change that
If Foles were a free agent,
I’d be ok signing him as a bridge to whoever we draft
I’m not ok trading a pick for a guy who would start for us for 1 season
That doesn’t make sense to me
We could use that pick to fill another hole
Just sign McCarron, McCown, Bradford, etc for a season or 2 if we don’t trade up for a QB

Doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make a difference
20seconds left, down by one...
is it important or not to win that faceoff?
Saying it’s not important is nuts |

This is all fair...
but just using Hasek for example
I thought he was an all-time great when he was here
My opinion of him didn’t get better bc he went to a loaded Detroit team & finally won a Cup
Not to say it doesn’t matter at all
But in a team sport,
I don’t give “rings” much weight
The other factors matter more to me
I do get what you’re saying though |

Good call with elway.

It’s almost impossible to compare QBs from different generations
How many yards would Marino throw for in today’s NFL?
6,000? More maybe?
And he wasn’t throwing to Jerry Rice either
Did anyone Marino played with make it to the Hall of Fame?
Heck... I’ll bet there weren’t even that many ProBowlers
Miami did a terrible job surrounding him with talent

That sums it up. I kinda agree with you now.
I'm worried about:
A rookie qb is going to be a step back : most likely over foles. Especially a guy taken at 22
I want the bills to be good next year. I think foles would be an upgrade to ty . Probably close to Smith?
Maybe 2 more wins. It's debatable |

We all thought hasek was the greatest here in buffalo.
The rings and the Olympics made him arguably the greatest everywhere. Not just sabres fans

Clayton and duper.
Not sure who made who though. Dan or them.
