yes but a different era and who knows what the d looked like back then and the goalie pads we all know about
- Bettmanhatesus

True. Not sure about the SHL. But NHL had multiple players over 100 pts.

So Stubhub was selling tickets last night for 13 USD and couldn't give them away.First of all I love when scalpers can't dump tickets and I love showing Canucks owners no one want to pay for their product

(well known) Fun fact: they hit a lot less in the SHL than in the NHL.
I find it hard to believe you watch that many games and havent noticed that Petersson has been body checked maybe twice this year. Love the kid, but it's apples and oranges to playing in NA

- neem55

Of course theres more hitting in the NHL!! you're gonna get hit no matter what league you play in BUT taking one from a 200lb dude in the SHL is no different. If you ever watched you know Elias takes hits every game. He also goes in the corners, he avoids a lot of hits too - which skilled players have the ability to do.
why do you think EP is different from Aho, Teravainen, the good Granlund, Bratt, Pastrnak, Nylander, Arvidson, E Lindholm? all guys who in their draft years were in and around the same size were able to make the jump across the pond, some got AHL seasoning, others didnt - all currently alive.

Very few of these guys made the jump straight to the NHL, and for good reason. My point was AHL would do him good. All your other BS is just that. I'd put EP in Utica, just like those guys were. The one that did (Lindholm) had an NHL ready body, much moreso than EP. You're comments so far support Utica more than the NHL IMO.

Noticed that Pres.cup's 3rd alt, still.the.best, isn't posting today. Probably won't see him again until the start of next season.

You may need sun screen for the trip back.

I hope Vancouver gets an extension, Mrs. Marwood and I would really like to go in the future.

3 of the 8 made the jump straight - the other 5 played between 25-70 games and didn't hurt them, and i never said it did. This debate started when Don asked why you think he needs to go to Utica. Some European guys make the jump - some guys like Ehlers, Keller, DeBrincat, Point (9 games), Hischier skip it completely. Anyways, theres my BS, i guess we'll find out if he's Utica bound in OCT.
