I like Goldobin a lot, but man is he ever easy to get off the puck. You see flashes of really amazing hockey skill but he really needs to get better in that area IMO.

I remember saying "i'd be happy with a consistent 60 points outs of Hodgson" and being called a "Leafs homer" and "troll"

As an enticement to get Tryamkin back, does anyone know if Canucks can buyout his contract in KHL?

a) he would have to want that
b) sounds like that would have some kind of salary cap implications

His Russian GM told Dhaliwal that:

Volokov says forget about Tryamkin in Vancouver anytime soon, "Zero chance he will play in Vancouver next season, he has 2 years left on his contract here."

Dowd sitting while Jokinen plays, same thing was happening in LA. Considering the relative ages, I'm assuming Dowd won't be brought back?

Burmistrov had the rest of this year remaining on contract, Shipyachov(sp) had 2 seasons remaining with Vegas, not sure how much we should give credence to a Russian contract.
Anyways, i was just curious if it was possible to do.

I was wondering why Dowd isn't playing (and we re-called Boucher) too.
Especially given the waiver implications...not that it's a big loss or anything, just makes you wonder what's up with Dowd?

How's Subban working out?

i'm sure they could, if they wanted to (and if he wanted to).

I'd expect him to play out his contract tho.

I guess he just hasn't shown enough? The stats certainly aren't impressive but I did notice him with some nice TOI hauls some nights.

Subban is where I thought he'd be, reinforcing Ontario. Blueline is crowded with a lot of players at the NHL level, AHL level, and a large crop incoming next year. With a lot of pending RFAs it'll be interesting to see how that sorts out (Subban included).

I suppose.
I noticed him at the start (like you said he was playing decent amounts), i think he was in a 3rd line, shutdown role. Seems to have disappeared and been replaced by Sutter, Archie and now Motte.

He did OK while we had Bo and Sutter out of lineup.
We already have many other younger players who can provide similar roles, when healthy.
Doubt he will be back.

I assumed he'd slot back in with the Brock injury tho.
Why recall Boucher when you have Dowd sitting there for that 4th line role.

Attendance after 30 games.

http://mynhltraderumors.c...mes-2017-2018/2018/03/07/

Thought Bettman was concerned about Flames attendance, the reason they badly need a new rink.
Same teams year after year struggling to get 80%full.
Wonder how finances would improve in the league if these teams were in healthier markets?
