Anyone remember when Anton Rodin won SHL mvp before he came back over to North America?
Different league, different development curve, different style Lets see how things shake out, 1st at World championships, then Prospects tournament, then training camp, then pre-season.

Hello Nuckerwhatever, how is Gold River been lately?

True, one step at a time. Start him slow then heap the expectations onto him.

Don't Know about gold river but victoria is getting warmer....

Yeah, I remember those pre-draft debates

I was not high on EP and loved Glass. I think we both preferred Glass back then.

I got into it with N4U over Heponiemi, really wanted him in the 2nd round.

I know Vantel liked Hague

- Nucker101

I liked Glass as well...both great prospects but I think the team chose correctly for once lol

Big difference, EP doesn't have a pre-existing knee condition that got royally (frank)ed up when he came back to play. If Rodin did not have that issue I think he would be playing much better. EP also has more skill at 19 than Rodin did his entire life.

yup same here lol

I was worried about how his game would translate over here, but a record setting season in the SHL definitely shut up the people like us who wanted Glass lol

We are both right about Zadina lol. I won $900 last year betting that Nico would go first. I didn’t bet much. For the life of me I cant understand the Patrick hype. He is a big strong Canadian I guess

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pettersson is going to be the best center taken from last years draft. I know he's played wing all year but I believe they drafted him to put him at center.

I'm positive he won't dominate the NHL like he has in Sweden, at least immediately, too much time and space over there which he won't get in the NHL, but he's looking like a special player.

Look how much time and space Barzel gets. Creates it on his own. Pettersson will do the same.

Disagree...Barzal is a premier skater, Pettersson is not, you've gotta have wheels to create that.

For those who think EP is too small at 170lbs, Johnny Gaudreau, Tyler, Ennis, Mitch Marner, Yanni Gourde (all 165 or under) all seem to be doing fine. Oh and Brendan Leipsic as well

5'8" to 6'2"

I retracted my statement of Leipsic being 5'8". According to all websites he is 5'10". (frank) OFF. Not a chance he's 5'10"

My cousins has a photo with Sam Gagner and they are the same height. My cousin is 5'9" at best not 5'11" as most of these websites say about Gagner

He played Center and still did well this year. They moved him back to wing for other reasons than unable to play center. He will also play with a lot better talent here than he does in the SHL.
