That's pretty disappointing. - manvanfan
I’ve chatted up people at games before. Most of them have no clue about the 4th liners/prospects the teams has, players contracts, who the assistant coaches are, etc.
These people might go to more games than some of us, but that doesn’t mean that they’re actually dedicated fans or as passionate about the team lol.

They don't have the time like we do because they spend so much time getting to the game, watching the game. Going home. They also have to work to have money to go to the games.
I have an older co-worker and he see's lots of Jet's games and watches hockey only. NHL center ice is the only thing on his TV ever. He doesn't know a single prospect on any of his favourite teams. (Pitt, Chi, Wpg) |

Exactly. Just because the Oilers have Connor and Leon, doesn't mean the Canucks won't become the better team for years to come.

Agree, future is looking up. I’m a little disappointed in some of the off season moves last year, a little disappointed in some of the non deadline deals, but injury played a part. All in all i think we’re in for one more disappointing season, but if a few more of these guys make the team it could be almost enjoyable! |

If every team was had perfect off seasons and perfect TDL's then a rebuild wouldn't be more then a few years long. You would see it happened to 10 plus teams a year (i'm guessing).
Good TDL last season. I don't mind this years trade deadline. Didn't have much to offer and he wasn't going to give up guys for less value. Motte and Leipsic can contribute while other prospects develop. They are also younger and faster then someone you would find for the same price in off season free agency. |

Sounds depressing. Save up at a 9-5 job for season tickets to go watch a crappy team play |

Yeah I think they're still a couple years away but things are looking up. The upside of losing is the high draft picks. Which were starting to see be almost ready. Hopefully we see more Boeser than Virtanen, if you know what I mean! |

Yeah, but as much as I like, say, The Bulldog, he could have gotten a 3rd/4th the way D men were getting traded. I feel like this year is the year to really strip away the core and let a new group begin to emerge. |

.@JDylanBurke: I look at Sven Baertschi. I don't know if his job is safe in Vancouver. From all accounts, the #Canucks are as willing to trade Chris Tanev as they've ever been. |

I seen a two week period where he looked like a second line player but then he got injured .
You need change .I don't think Canucks should go heavy on free agents but with the cap space I would rather see them pick up a Goalie and a Dman for about 3 years instead of going the mentorship route.

I don’t think they have hit bottom yet. Maybe this is it, maybe not. I feel like if the twins come back for another year the team will want to be “competitive”. If they retire, I think there will be less pressure and potentially a better result. |

Biega might have got a 6th. Joe Morrow 4 years younger and double the points in same amount of games got a late 4th for Montreal. |

Reminds me of the Jets a few years back when they had one of the highest prospect ratings in the NHL. Now they are contending. Hopefully we are there in a few seasons.

I read those Canucksarmy questions people send him and his answers. Him along with Wyatt Arndt are just wannabe Botchfords. |

And Jarabek garnered a 5th. Just saying one of Jim’s comments after the fact was that there was a market for depth defenders and they would be mindful of that moving forward. |
