Ron Francis out as GM in Carolina, relocated to hockey operations president.
Just teasing certain Vancouver fans. - dbot
Ive liked what Carolina has done.

He's a ball-less coward.
He should of told them to f*ck themselves and then set his office on fire. |

Some upstart who's open to running the team like a business and not a hockey team.
I'd empty all the tweeners on the roster to get even one of their top4 D. |

He's like the 4th goaltender who has gone in the tank there since Peters took over.
Really feels like a coaching change is in their future.
Kevin Woodley was saying that they have a goalie consultant instead of a coach and that the guy thinks there is only one way to play goal. That's fine when you have like Allaire or Melanson's track record, but not when you've been the guy in charge of like half a decade of goaltenders forgetting what their job is.
Sadly fixing the goaltending won't make that roster look like any less of a donut. It wouldn't be a sexy place for Tavares to go, but a high end center would drastically improve that team in a way it could in few other places. |

Friedman says this owner is friends with Mark Cuban and will run the team in same manner, very hands on. |

Which is why I can see it being run like a business and not an Old Boys Club hobby house. |

The inside story of the 'Canes change is that the owner wants to deal directly with the coaches and the players...and have a figure head GM. Dundon wants to do it like Mark Cuban runs the NBA Mavericks. |

Gilman guessed a pick or prospect. Probably nothing exciting, but Iād still do it. - Nucker101
Heard that as well. Wonder if the rumour had legs. It will be interesting to see how long the Canucks brass will stick with Eriksson or does something as such was rumoured retaining salary and/or take on a bad contract coming the other way. Who's contract would be easier to move, LE or Lucic who's term is one year longer. |

Eriksson. At a discounted cap hit you have yourself a passable 3rd liner who can pretend every now and then he's better.
Lucic can't (frank)ing skate and can't barely work net front anymore. He finds himself so far behind the play he can't even be physical because he'd be an hour late to any kind of hit he'd through.
I honestly think if you tried hard enough you could get Galchenyuk out of the deal. |

Holy effing Jebus.
According to the Flames broadcast some teams have Brady Tkachuk ranked on par and above Zadina and Svechnikov.

As mentioned. BT is the complete package. I would have him ranked at #2 as well. But then again, I'm a big fan of the guy. |

I could see a team like Buffalo wanting him. A Kane replacement maybe. |

I don't see this at all. I just see red flags.
I said it in the old blog but if he was Brady Ketchup and not Tkachuk he'd be ranked in the teens. |

If I were a betting man and Canucks don't get Dahlin (I know...silly thought) but still get a high pick...they would trade down and pick Boqvist or Bouchard. |
|
|
|
I guess we hope JV, goldy, lipstick play well...I miss hoping for boeser to score already |
|
|
|
Goldy needs to be with better played. Should of had a 2-1 and a break away that shift. How does Gange not see him alone at the red line behind the D? |

What's to say the other two don't turn out to be Yakapov's. If he's anything like his brothers grit and supposedly more talented... on the Canucks that's a need we so desperately need IMO. |
