I don't like meaningless February or March wins any more than any other win.
I like all wins.
"Giddy" connotes the extreme. I'm not giddy. I just like when my team wins.
If there is anyone on this board who is extreme, its you. You're the one who finds a single luck event (PDO I think you call it) in the entire 8 game stretch, and attributes all the team's success to luck.
Your comments in the last two months have nothing to do with "our chances of ever being very good, or great." Your comments nearly universally bash this franchise and its players. I don't say you should find another team because you aren't rooting for wins. I say you should find another team because you're rooting against this one. - Der Kaiser
God forbid.
No one will ever universally agree with this version of the team. And I get both sides. I will always be happy when they win, but I won't care if they lose (for rest of season). It is what it is, us as fans have zero control of the on ice product, so you might as well be happy when they win. Winning helps team and individual morale. It helps discover what is working with the team, vs what isn't. It helps players like Stinko Failo Reinhart gain confidence and score at nearly a ppg.
18% chance for Dahlin, 50% chance of drafting 4th. |

No they don't. The makeup of that team is 4 lines, and at the very least, 3 lines. This team has zero.
Completely different scenario. |

David Staples of the Edmonton Journal thinks the Oilers trade their 1st pick for a young veteran. I wonder if Ryan O'Reilly is young enough and good enough to be the base to get their pick. |

Using this word. That’s extreme. This makes my eyes roll.
We haven’t had a winning record in over 400 consecutive games. There has been 0 “success”.
Rarely, when we win games, it’s because we’re truly better. Rarely.
I’ve read for 3-4 consecutive years in January or February or March, how we’re turning it around. Or we’re finally playing the coaches system, or we’re finally healthy etc. Its all BS. We still suck.
Difference now is we have an actual smart person in charge. |

And to expand on my thought, this team at the time being is built on Jack Eichel with ROR a distant 2nd. Eichel is really the only player on this team capable of truly making players better.
The Pens have 3 of those players, on three different lines.
Eichel needs to have high quality linemates in order to dominate teams at a successful rate. Or, have at least one dominating winger on two lines, that 2nd winger to make ROR or other guy better. That's one of the biggest fallacies of this team. We're a one trick pony. |

They play their best winger on their 3rd line, so that it consistently scores
In that respect,
I can see value to Mittelstadt helping our 3rd line
It’s not like Jack has been playing poorly without Mittelstadt |

Next year's center depth is Eichel, Rodrigues, Larsson, Girgensons. (frank)ing yay.
But hey, at least we'll have Sam 'Stafford' Reinhart in the mix. |

Jack Eichel 2018 All star game. He looked like a completely different player when he had elite line mates. Agree that we need a balanced team but I don’t want Jack thinking he needs to do it all because he can’t trust his line mates. The majority of the prospects in out system will fill out the bottom 9. Casey has top line potential |

Mittelstadt will be our top line LW. Maybe Eichel even moves to LW eventually. Casey and Jack are destined to play together - MCGUIZZY
I can pretty much guarantee Jack will always be at center, as he should.

Maybe?
If they can then trade RNH for a winger?
He plays the O’Reilly role there right now
Right now, I’m listening to Elliotte Friedman talk about how pissed their owner is
That’s gonna be a top10 pick though,
so we might have to add

Early speculation from a few agents is that Richard Sherman can expect offers in the $7 million range. Injury is a factor but also due to the limited number of teams he'll likely consider.

Sign Mittlestadt and play him center, Asplund is in the pipeline, draft a center or wing and a D in the top 5. The level of rebuild is strong. Get 7.5 off the books, sign a FA to man the ship while Asplund can be in the NHL and Mitts is ready. |

I'd trade ROR for Dahlin. Because we all know EDM is winning the lottery. |

Chris Ballard could very well have the NFL’s most popular phone number the night of April 26.
He tells @ColinCowherd why he'll "take phone calls up to the last minute” to field offers from teams for the No. 3-overall pick: http://indcolts.co/bUEsGJ

You're assuming CM is ready and can competently play 2C next year. Maybe, maybe not. I don't think you trade ROR for any normal return without knowing what CM can do. |
