Same.
I also see Chaput coming back, he is the best centre they have in the Ahl

They'll both be in the lineup next year.

Biech did a piece on him and suggested the same thing. His point totals are a little inflated from his powerplay production, but likely a good 3C with some potential to be a 2C.

That being said, Lefty was right in that this is the Canucks and he might end up being higher in the lineup due to poor depth

In the young stars tourney last year two players stood out and were very close is excitement value . Gaudette and Pettersson

thanks for the link, good read

I still think Sutter is overpaid and still don't like the trade they made to get him, but I appreciate his ability to handle tough minutes. Gaunce actually got harder minutes at 5v5 though.

24% of 5v5 goals scored after a failed zone exit attempt. Another reason why you need 6 dman who can move the puck out of the zone with a good first pass.

Gudbranson says STFU with his eyes, if you can tear your eyes off his chiseled jaw.

The AHL lineup unless they force their way up. Or are you one of those, pencil the kids in types, like Vantel?

Best to try for a package deal.
- VanHockeyGuy

sure, but I doubt most GM's are looking to trade for 2-3 fringe/depth players at the draft and right before free agency. He could be an add-on/throw-in piece in a bigger deal if Benning makes an offer for a player at the draft.

I think that's being a little harsh lol. We have a few who can do that according to zone exit stats.

What we definitely lack is dmen who can make plays that lead directly to offense. Most of our dmen can't create off of the rush or make creative plays in the offensive zone, and none of them can really shoot.

- Nucker101

Dahlin obviously would be a huge win, in that regards, after him Boichard looks like he will be the total package as well.(not as good as Dahlin). Reminds me a bit of Pietrangelo.

No, I wouldn't mind a stint for them in the AHL we just don't have the depth here to 'not' have them in the lineup. Not sure what Gaudette is gonna learn in the AHL at this point...Pettersson jury is still out but all signs say they can both play with this current roster.

For Lefty;

BOSTON (7 FIRSTS,6 SECONDS)
2014 – 1,2,4,5,7
2015 – 1,1,1,2,2,2,3,4,6,7
2016 – 1,1,2,5,5,6
2017 – 1,2,4,6,7,7

VANCOUVER (5 FIRSTS, 3 SECONDS)
2014 – 1,1,2,3,5,6,7
2015 – 1,3,4,5,5,6,7
2016 – 1,3,5,6,7,7
2017 – 1,2,2,3,4,5,6,7

- VanHockeyGuy

I think you're missing the point, they've got three of their last four first round picks playing regular minutes and they picked them 14th, 14th and 25th.

Vancouver has two and they picked 6th, 23rd, 5th and 5th overall in those years.

Give them credit, they made some good picks, that's all I'm saying.

Or goes back to Russia .
- VANTEL

Not until he clears waivers imo. The guy isn't a Tryamkin, I think he prefers the NA lifestyle and isn't attached to Russia.

The Sharks wanted him to play in a men's league after they drafted him

He chose to play in Finland.

I have no doubt either will be fantastic players, I will temper my expectations on Gaudette's offensive capabilities though. He is not quite the same scorer Boeser was

Benning's on record that he wants a top 6 scoring player in a "hockey deal", sure he may need to throw in a first or second for a quality player but...

Dahlin for sure. Haven't seen enough of Bouchard to comment, but his #'s look promising. I'm waiting for the full game shift by shift videos to start popping up on youtube in april/may/june lol.

I thought your were pointing out that you dont need to tank, as you can get very good players throughout the draft.
All this time I thought you were pro-tank.😁
