I don't think Benning's any better to be honest, but we'll see what happens over the next few years. Benning's had the luxury of some top end draft positions neither Gillis or Nonis had.

I like that they're losing but it's not lost on me that Benning is losing from incompetence not because he's trying to.

well hand him a purple ribbon and call it good! Hopefully some of his draft picks turn out, so far out of four drafts he's picked one NHL player of worth. Two if you count Tryamkin. Needs time though, I'll be patient with that.

Someone was trying to tell me that Biega was worth a 4th round pick today. Clearly that person had never ever seen Biega player or thought he was someone else.

it was Biega's shot off the side wall that missed the net by 5 feet that started the Minny transition.

You’re so smart and funny, devilishly handsome too I bet. You know so much about hockey, you’re probably the best guy there ever was. Keep on being you

That last timeout really deflated NFU's sails, thankfully, he's not around much anymore. Old man Cumberland must miss him

I have no doubt he finds a NHL player every year, My questions with him is he knows sh1t about running a team.

Good drafter , bad GM . His record speaks for itself

Most GM's find NHL players every year, he hardly stands out in that regard. At least not yet imo.

Where we've been picking the last few years we can ill afford to draft a Patrik Stefan.

This is a big draft for us this year, lots of things to fix.

Gillis's drafting was piss poor no question but he actually made some great trades. Nonis was probably the worst drafting GM the franchise has ever known.

He also made a lot of poopty trades.

Last year really looks to be a positive draft for them. This year six picks when you're a bottom dwelling team going into such an important draft is unacceptable. Hopefully he picks up more!!!

Yes for sure. I'm not sure how many trades he made overall but Ehrhoff, Lapierre, Higgins, Schneider for 9th overall, were good trades. The Ballard one stands out as his worst imo.
