Beane is crushing it - Slump Buster
He looks really really good. A lot more then I thought Glenn would go for. |

I think the funny part of this is that Beane must have still insisted on the swap in the 5th and 6th. That's sack - they would have had me at the swap in the first round.

The standard draft formula chart point differential between 21 and 12 is 400 points.. So going by that chart the Bills could put up 12 and 22 and get to No. 4 without giving up anything else.

I am tempted to say that it might cost more but then again nobody else can offer two first rounders this year. That has to trump just about anything that anyone else can offer. |

So the Bills trade Glenn who didn't play much last year and pick 22 to get to pick 12, they also get better draft positions in their 5th and 6th round picks AND they get MORE cap space...
They're getting a QB and they can be players in Free Agency |

What’s huge is not giving up that 1st next year. Incase the QB has a rough 1st year. Don’t want to see next years pick be a top pick we missed out on. Ex. Houston this year |

I think the bills gave up their 5 for the bengals 6th. Could be wrong though. |

Correct. I don't think they had a 6th to start. Thought they were done in round 5 |

Going by that standard draft chart formula, Bills could get to 3rd overall pick (and also pick up a 5th) for 12, 21 and 53. They'd get their QB at No. 3 and still have a 2nd and two thirds (including an early one at No. 65). No picks in '19 sacrificed either. So much in play now

Houston would have been a much higher pick had Watson not gotten hurt but I totally agree
12, 22 and maybe the pick for Tyrod?
Glenn, Tyrod, and moving down with KC and this years 1st for a franchise guy?
Not to mention more cap space!!!!!
I am loving this |

Maybe....
But when Philly traded from 8 to 2 for Wentz
They had to give up an additional 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Plus...
we might not be the only ones trying to trade up
We might have to beat offers from teams like Miami, Baltimore or whoever
Or maybe Cleveland at 4,
decides only moving back a spot or 2 is in their best interest & they let Denver or the Jets moves up instead
I don’t think it’s as simple as just going by what the chart says

Barkley going 1 makes this a win IMO.
That’s who the Giants want I think, which would make 2 available and our choice of QB’s there.
Cleveland takes a QB 1, Giants don’t pass on Barkley, and then we need to get to 3 or 4 |

Idk about that
If Miami wanted to include their 1st next year in a trade,
Cleveland (or whoever) has gotta be pretty sure that pick is gonna be a lot better than the #22 we are offering this year |

I wonder if there is a scenario where teams (Colts, Giants) start to compete with each other to trade down. Both teams need a ton of pieces. |

Right but the Bills have 2 1sts this year
So basically if they don't have to give up next years 1st I would be a happy camper.
If they do give up next years 1st then that better be it 12, 22 and next years 1st
That still leaves 4 picks in rounds 2 and 3 with ammo to move up or down.
They could trade the 2 2nds for a 1st next year depending on how it plays out
This is the most fun I have had in a Bills offseason since TO came and that was only for a one year deal to sell tickets!
