I’ve been pro keep the sedins for a year. But honestly, the last games have changed my mind. We need fresh blood. - canucksfan1944
They just need a good winger to put the puck in the net for them. Preferably a Swede with multiple 20 goal games and a history of international games playing with them.
If they get rid of them I see us playing lots of Chaput and smegma.... or wrecking some poor kids development. |

#Canucks can't score, not much better in Utica where the Comets have been shutout 3 times in the past 5 games.
The Canucks and Comets have combined for 8 goals in last 9 games. |

I've seen enough Sedin cycle for a lifetime. I can't be bothered anymore to watch. Call me when they are gone - VANTEL
If they come back next year I will honestly stop watching till theyre gone. I love them but my goodness GTFO. Sadly Benning and Linden will prob bring them back if they are willing. Tje no plan plan os in effect. I cant wait to see what ufas we waste money on this year. Gagner isnt even a freakin nhler. Man this group has horrible management |

I'm a little shocked at the reaction to the team performance. So many of us seem to know this team is made up of 2 backups and 10 AHL/fringe NHL guys, yet are wingeing when we lose during crunch time and teams are fighting for PO spots. The last three years down the stretch Canucks have gotten schooled like this. Take out Miller and add a couple journeyman fringe NHLers and what were going to do better? - neem55
It's Tuesday...

Tachuck shouldn't be in the top ten.... well maybe just barely, definatly not top 6 - Pres.cup
This team is too soft. Skill alone doesn't win cups. |

Not sure what the future holds for Goldy and Boucher here but they should be sent down to Utica for a playoff push.

Big picture: the likelyhood of us landing a top5 just got better. Sedin's retiring won't make this team better. We've got A LOT of holes in this lineup, sure we can create two more and hope to fill them. I guess. Rushing kids in to play will not help this team, likely will hurt the kids. See Hutton, Stecher, JV for examples of why not to rush players into lineup.

His birthday and points compared to draft plus 1 players with birthdays close to him.
That and my opinion, man.

Well, when you bring the Dude into it...
still disagree and will go with the scouts. Bobby Mac's meta-list is still the best in the biz IMO. |

I just read Daniel is at 391 goals for his career, is that right? They're definitely coming back next year so he can get to 400 |

For me, it is not about whether they make the team better or worse, it is about the complete lack of entertainment value they provide.
These guys never get pooped on for the terrible line changes they make, as per the discussion earlier in the thread.
They have made, at least 10 changes while play was going into defensive zone, that ended up going into the net. Did they get a goal against on their stats, of course not, they got off ice before puck went in net.( btw, they did this again last night)
These guys have been doing this for almost 2 decades and i dont think this is good mentorship at all for young players, 2 of whom were doing this same thing earlier this season and have since stopped.
They may be great guys, good leaders etc, but i question they are playing "the right way" and playing a 200 ' game that we want the young players understanding.
Time to move on. |

Alex Ovechkin is the fourth player in NHL history to score 600 goals in fewer than 1,000 games. The other three: Wayne Gretzky (718 games), Mario Lemieux (719 games), Brett Hull (900 games).
Lemieux and Gretzky were just on a whole different level for their generations. |

It's Brett Hull that gets me every time. I forget (or don't appreciate) his impact on the game. |
