#Canucks can't score, not much better in Utica where the Comets have been shutout 3 times in the past 5 games.

The Canucks and Comets have combined for 8 goals in last 9 games.

It's Brett Hull that gets me every time. I forget (or don't appreciate) his impact on the game.
- bloatedmosquito

Bossy is probably one of the best pure scorers in history but his career was so short he didn't make 600 I don't think.

For some reason I thought Malkin and Crosby would be substantially higher.

He had 573 in something like 750 games. 9 - 50+ goals season in a row...

Unreal.

For me, it is not about whether they make the team better or worse, it is about the complete lack of entertainment value they provide.
These guys never get pooped on for the terrible line changes they make, as per the discussion earlier in the thread.
They have made, at least 10 changes while play was going into defensive zone, that ended up going into the net. Did they get a goal against on their stats, of course not, they got off ice before puck went in net.( btw, they did this again last night)
These guys have been doing this for almost 2 decades and i dont think this is good mentorship at all for young players, 2 of whom were doing this same thing earlier this season and have since stopped.
They may be great guys, good leaders etc, but i question they are playing "the right way" and playing a 200 ' game that we want the young players understanding.
Time to move on.

Points per game is where they shine as natural centers, 13th and 6th respectively in NHL history.

Different era. Unless the goalies go back to wearing street hockey pads I can't see today's players score 40 for 15 straight seasons.

I thought that we determined that because of Nonis, Gillis was absolved.
Anyway, I'm just focusing on now, the future and building a winning environment.

The Seahawk's need to make some bold moves and have a good draft to make any noise this season. Their division is tougher this year. We'll see.
- VanHockeyGuy

Unfortunately IMO the Seahawks will now become another mediocre team in the NFL that might make the playoffs, but will probably be on the outside for a few years.

I was disappointed to hear both Bennett and Sherman are gone, and Caroll always seems to make the most boneheaded of play calls at the most crucial times.

The Seahawks IMO are now the 4th best team in their division.

I'm a little shocked at the reaction to the team performance. So many of us seem to know this team is made up of 2 backups and 10 AHL/fringe NHL guys, yet are wingeing when we lose during crunch time and teams are fighting for PO spots. The last three years down the stretch Canucks have gotten schooled like this. Take out Miller and add a couple journeyman fringe NHLers and what were going to do better?

But it's the Sedins fault for the demise, if they were no longer playing people could turn their focus on Goldobin, Grandlund and Bärtschi, or Boeser, Horvat and Leipsic.

Holes to fill for sure, Carroll & Schneider have been masters at the draft in the past. They need some timely UFA signings and luck if they hope to compete in a tougher NFC west.

that's somewhat fair. I honestly don't care too much one way or another, I just don't see them as a primary concern as they clearly have had a positive influence on the kids and would help someone like Pettersson and Dahlen adjust to life in Vancouver. If they could bring in some decent replacements in the form of trade/UFA im all for it. as it stands I see Guadette being able to come in and a big void at LW were Daniel to leave. Maybe we bring back Vanek, maybe, maybe, maybe this/that. Bigger fish to fry IMO. Need to concetrate on getting depth, not trimming the roster that already has 10 AHL players on it.

If Crosby wins his 4th cup he'll need to be part of the conversations when people talk GOAT's. Right there with Orr, Lemieux, Gretz, Howe Etc...
