I'd rank him ahead of Ovechkin. - LeftCoaster

Holes to fill for sure, Carroll & Schneider have been masters at the draft in the past. They need some timely UFA signings and luck if they hope to compete in a tougher NFC west. - VanHockeyGuy
Letting Sherman go and then he signs with the 9er's was a big mistake. Looking forward to that matchup! |

He had 573 in something like 750 games. 9 - 50+ goals season in a row...
Unreal. - LordHumungous
Scoring on goalies with 3 inches of plywood duct-taped to their legs playing stand up. an incredible talent, but to score as much as OV has against the type of goalies there is now is way more impressive. Only Hull is in the conversation as better than OV IMO. And hull also faced some pretty weak goaltending early on. |

30 Years old, two achilles operations. He lost a step last year before the injuries. We'll see. |

Different era. Unless the goalies go back to wearing street hockey pads I can't see today's players score 40 for 15 straight seasons. - Eldebrink
Oh for sure but regardless of being era specific which is a huge debate when it comes to comparing the greatest players of all time...even Gretzky didn't accomplish that (8 - 50+ goal seasons in a row) which to me makes Bossy's achievement superbly unreal...in any era. |

not according to every statistical metric available he didn't. Opposing WR caught the ball the least vs. Sherman last year. Only Bouye was even close. |

I agree, he will surpass his interception totals playing against Wilson alone.
I read that the Seahawks wanted a quieter dressing room and got rid of the two most vocal and politically active mouth pieces.
Hope that is just made up BS. |

Sherman will be injured probably within the first 6-7 games. Looked pretty mediocre at times last season in Seattle. I can understand why Seattle thought it was time. |

best possible out come yes. Worst possible outcome? He embarrasses Wilson/Seahawks because he now has a chip on his shoulder.
Let's be clear: he chose to stay in conference, and is not happy with Seahawks. Maybe now I can actually like the guy a bit more. |

Everyone talks about goaltending but negates to mention the sticks players used, skates, conditioning, training, etc. etc. It works both ways! The guys who scored were fantastic players in their time.
Maurice Richard was also one of the best scorers in NHL history, the first man to ever score 50 in 50, with a piece of lumber with no curve and was glued together. |

They have more pressing issues on the OL, RB. They also want to re-sign Sheldon Richardson. Cap issues. I thinks RW3 will burn Sherman next year a few times. |

I think it's time to just hit the reset button in Seattle, I have no issue with change and bringing in younger players. If that's what they do. |

O-Line and RB help will make Wilson even more dangerous next season. He can put up a ton of points. Yes, there will be questions on D. |

Can see it being an issue though. The jackass Bennett was a huge distraction last season with him being called out for the Vegas cop thing and his protests and so on. Sherman is a great player yes but again, a jackass do maybe it was time to bring the room together again. Seahawks are looking at 2-3 seasons with no playoffs anyways so why worry about keeping guys like Sherman and Bennett there when all they do now is start the shat? Not hard to see why the Seahawks moved on. |

Exactly. Lots of intangibles when comparing era's and people need to read between the lines a bit. Bossy also played 242 games less than OV to almost get to 600. OV is a great scorer in this era but I'll go Bossy anyday. |

I think they are looking at another 2-3 seasons of no playoffs. Too many holes now on O line, RB, D injury issues and so forth.
7-9 next season. No playoffs. |
