They’re not ridiculous, and I’m not emotional, I haven’t been around for quite awhile but still see the whole Sedin issue being discussed and wanted to add a little objectivity for the other side, you know the side that isn’t posting constantly that the twins are the reason the Canucks suck, if we just got rid of them we are a good 30th placed team.

I used to be on the other side for years so I hear you. But their defensive play is getting worse and worse. I still think they provide value on the PP as playmakers. To me they’re no longer an asset at 5v5 when you factor in all the variables. Production weighted against zone starts + defensive woes, it just doesn’t look pretty.

If you can give those minutes to a younger player who might produce the same 30 even strength points and actually be able to back check then you improve the team at 5v5 while getting younger. Even if the younger guy only puts up 25 ES points, you break even as long as he’s not a mess defensively.

It is also the lead story on the 1040 and 650 . Twitter also. It won't go anytime soon until they sign or retire
