He’s going to get like $18 million
I’m think Matt Moore...unless they don’t take a QB which is highly doubt. - Stripes77
Matt Moore and buffalo makes sense.
Oc is very familiar with Moore from Miami.

That works. They could get Drew Stanton for like 8 mil/1 year and have him battle it out with Peterman. Or Mccown |

We'll probably go get Jake Delhomme out of the voodoo lounge and suit him up Kyle Orton style. You know because, Carolina. |

It's probably gonna cost more in my opinion, maybe 8?
Or even 3 x 8
Wonder if they consider Peterman a strong #2?
Maybe looking to the draft for #1
Looking into left overs for #3
Just a thought

If you and I break a rule, or don't like a rule, we could go to a different employer. NFL players can't go to a different employer. The pot rules are irrational and hypocritical, so I would say it is on the rules, not the player. - jcragcrumple
But they're not. Marijuana is an illegal narcotic. It's absolutely rational to ban it so long as that's the case.
And Josh Gordon does not have to be a football player in the NFL. He chose that career and the rules that come with it. If he does not want to follow those rules, he can find another job that allows him to use marijuana, abuse alcohol, and get DUIs.
*EDIT: Or he can get help, stop doing those things, and make a bunch of money as a productive NFL WR. The choice is his. |

Wow it’s amazing how you guys lynch mobbed Evander Kane for his Fokk ups. When he started showing maturity and growth, you still bashed him, but some football player that’s a hairs width of being banned from the game you cheer his signing.
That crazy. - MLew65
Yeah but Josh Gordon actually is elite when his head is out of his ass |

Pot is not a narcotic - Shadman306
it doesn't matter.. it is illegal.
the rules don't adjust to you.. you adjust to the rules. If he wants to fight the rules he needs to do it through the NFLPA... not by breaking them |

But it's infinitely less harmful than the prescriptions that are no doubt doled out by teams to players. It would be less harmful for players to smoke pot than to take a bunch of pharmaceuticals. I 100% agree that pot is federally illegal. I also think that it's absurd that it is not only illegal, but a schedule 1 drug. The majority of America believes it should be legal. I could get into the facts about black incarceration based on marijuana laws, and all that, but no one wants to go there.
The conversation, for me, hinges on whether someone believe that a law can be "unjust." I believe it is an unjust prohibition, and like i said, i don't even smoke pot.
The NFL could take a stand that a majority of America believes: people shouldn't be punished for pot.

By definition yeah it is
“a drug or other substance affecting mood or behavior and sold for nonmedical purposes, especially an illegal one” |

It's only illegal in some places.
Not defending the player at all, because he should be following whatever rules his employer sets. |

It doesn’t matter what you or most of the population believes.
A private employer can says it’s illegal for its employees. And guess what the players signed off on it in their CBA.

It is sold for medical purposes. And that definition of narcotic makes coffee and chocolate a narcotic.

wrong..
it is illegal according to federal law, therefore it is illegal everywhere.. as of right now they look the other way. i think that will eventually become a national debate/supreme court case |
