If you are talking about the interview from the source many reference, i thought he sounded like he also might choose Pittsburgh - jhawk59

My bad on ELC - but he's still going to hold out for the best team to play for. If not, he would have signed with SB already. - Return of the Roar
Wrong again. He wanted/still wants to complete his college hockey season (and playoffs), which he couldn't do if he signed with the Hawks. |

Let him. No reason to bring him here for a dozen train wreck/make it stop hockey games. |

1. Hawks sign a legit top 4 d-man.
2. Hayden falls into the Shaw role. Agitator, crease presence, etc.
3. One of these young defensemen learns how to play defense correctly. Oesterle stands in front of the net and does nothing. Clear the puck. Check somebody. They all have trouble getting back, and then Seabrook or Keith is huffing and puffing trying to get back.
I like 88 and 19 together. The power play looks a lot better now too. Hino and Schmaltz always seem to look for that extra pass. Just shoot the puck. |

I just saw a couple of outside links.... It's a shame that everyone will be banned. I wish you all well. |

I'd rather see his method of agitation is putting the puck in the net. |

FWIW,
Appears #Blackhawks could be closing in on deal with 22-year old forward Dominik Kahun, who was a star for Germany during 2018 Winter Olympics, I have no idea what this says lol:

The Hawks have two advantages with Sikura right now: they are the only team that can contact and talk to him (until August 1, I think it is); and the can sign him to a two year deal while playing him this season to burn off one of those years.
That advantage disappears if Northeastern goes to the finals of the college hockey tournament, which occurs during the final week-end of the NHL season.
There is a reason to bring him hear for some games this season. |

1) Eddie Olczyk Replace the Stan Bowman as general manager.
2) if Coach Q decides he doesn’t want to coach anymore, then Tony Granato is hired as the head coach.
3) whether it be Stan Bowman, or whomever, they do what it takes to get in position to draft Brady Tkachuk with the early first round pick .
Those would be my three wishes, but probably all three will be a big NADDA. The first two are reaches, but something tells me that the third one will fall right into Stan’s lap and he will screw it up. - wonthecup10
Eddie would be a terrible GM like he was a terrible coach. |

1) Trade Larmer, Smith and Belfour for Eric Lindros
2) Block Winnipeg from matching the Tkachuk contract
3) Open up $$ Wirtz wallet during the 90's - resqmed99
1) good lord JR and Lindros, that would've been sick
2) Yep!
3) well that kind of happened, see #2

Ha ha. I remember that. We got nothing when Larmer left for the Rangers and Smith to Calgary and only Hackett for Belfour. With Hasek in the wings, it would have been an awesome trade. - Popsghostly
Hackett was not part of the Belfour deal. He was Belfour's backup and management deemed him good enough to be a #1 (or at least close enough and way less expensive) so they traded Belfour. They got, iirc, Ulf Dahlen, Sikora and a 2nd from San Jose. |

I only have 1 wish ,and that is that Coach Q up is cut loose ,but not till he leads the HAWKS as far down the league as possibale |

"The 5-foot-11, 174-pound Kahun played from 2012-14 with the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League. Kahun, a left-handed shot, scored 71 points (22 goals, 49 assists) in 101 OHL games for Sudbury. After his stint in North America, he moved overseas to Germany to play for Munchen."

The proposed deal was Belfour to Philly as part of the deal to bring Lindros to Chicago. Hasek was in the wings. Wirtz nixed the deal and they feared losing Hasek in the expansion draft so he was dealt to Buffalo for Stephane Beauregard and a 4th round pick (which became Eric Daze) and then dealt Beauregard for Christian Ruuttu. |

I read the whole article. He sounds mighty impressed with Sullivan and maybe he feels liklihood for success comes soonest in Pittsburgh than the unsettled mess in Chicago. DeBrincat is a friend, but is Hartman, too. Hartman would speak negative about how he was twisted and treated by Q? You think possibly? |

He mentions DeBrincat and Highmore as guys he skates with in the summer. Hartman is not part of that group. Hartman skated with Kane, Schmaltz, Hinostroza and some of the other Chicago guys over the summer. Hartman, Schmaltz, Hinostroza and Louis all played for the same Chicago youth organization (all different birth years) and have history together. Sikura is Canadian and not part of that group other than maybe meeting them in camp.
Don't try and connect Hartman leaving and some perceived leaning of Sikura to not signing with the Hawks. Never has he said anything other than positive things about the Hawks, and when pressed he has repeatedly said he is not even thinking about it until his college career is over. |

Did some research on this guy and he seems to be pretty skilled but the thing that stood out for me was the "afraid of contact" part. |
