He played 82 games for 3 straight years prior to the Canucks acquiring him.

but... I think he had surgery in the off season before joining the Canucks, and I dont think he was ready for training camp.

I honestly liked the signing. Gillis must have targeted him, and we were lucky enough to have Hamhuis wanting to sign. Thought it was great we were getting 2 good dmen.

and thought the surgery prolly wasn't a big thing. and it never worked out with Ballard.

Ballard was a trade and we lost Grabner and a 1st in that deal.

I think I'm remembering Booth's injuries in place of Ballard's but I did remember his surgery. I'm kind of blending two memories together I guess.
