Except the "son's command" wasn't the original wording either.
- Wetbandit1
That is a poor argument if you ask me
So for 6 years it was something and then changed to something else and then 104 years later it was changed because of this extreme liberal movement?
There might be 5 people alive that were around when it was "thou dost in us command"
And if they were around for it they didn't know the lyrics back then.

I was reading an article years ago about the best streak in sports, and they concluded it was Tiger's streak of beating the average score for the rest of the field, it was way better than his "made the cut" streak.
Holy poop, I actually found it, Google's getting better.

That is a pretty crazy streak. By far the craziest since 1983. Tough to put it in comparison to other records that happened before they started keeping track of those stats. Either way, he is the most dominant athelete i have ever seen. Glad hes playing well again. |

That doesn't change the fact that the original wasn't "sons' command".
I don't really care. The PC police drive me (frank)ing nuts, but if you're going to argue something at least have the proper facts, however pedantic they may be. |

How does everyone feel about McCarron ? I always felt the Bills would have been a good trade partner for Siemian as a stop gap, cheaper with a little more tread on the tires. |

For the sake of argument, it is an argument. It has nothing to do with my original comment on the ridiculous change that just happened because of this extreme liberal movement but he still just made it. Good call |

I like the move. Give me a guy that might have some upside, not a guy who is a known mediocre/poopty commodity. Moreso regarding bridgewater, keenum, bradford i guess though. |

You did also just make an argument for something being the best ever, even though the stat has only been recorded for 35 years from a sport that has been around for well over a century. Fwiw |

So which one of u guys on here is Mike Schopp?
Sbroads????
He’s just on the radio, talking sh!t about how O’Reilly has a chance to break the all-time record for faceoff wins in a season
Then uses our crappy record as a point to say how meaningless faceoffs are
Then he tells us all who holds the current record
Rod Brind’amor
Here’s the kicker though...
Brind’amour set the record the year Carolina won the Cup
Nice logic Schopp...

Like I said earlier he needs to fix his drives before Augusta
Homie mentioned that Tiger might have tweaked his back last week
If it was serious I doubt he would be playing but his drives are off |

Yours maybe, but a lot of people think that "sons' command" was the original and that the original lyrics were written in stone. And for the record there's been an effort to change the lyrics since at least 1990, so this isn't new. Lyrics were changed in 1913, 1914, 1916 and 1980. And the original version written in 1880, in French, was totally different still. It's not a translation, it's an almost entirely different song.
It's such an inoffensive change to something that has been changed many times before. |

I didn't make that argument, the author of the article sort of did. I just thought it was a cool article. Nowhere did I say it was the best streak ever. |

I havent checked the stats but i thought he drove it pretty well last week on a tough course. The masters is the best major to play if youre not hitting it straight fwiw. I was more joking about him just constantly being injured for the last decade. |

At Augusta you need to hit GIR
Tiger does well out of the rough but he has been missing fairways by 20-40 yards. There are trees everywhere at Augusta, that is my main concern for him. |

Its all conext and semantics. My original comment was about his missed cut record being the most untouchable record in all of sports. Its whatever whatever. It was a pretty cool artice. |

Can’t say faceoffs don’t matter bc the Sabres suck...
Bc that logic is turned upside down when u look at how Brind’amour’s Carolina team won the Cup
It’s assine to draw that big of a conclusion from faceoff stats one way or the other
Obviously (or maybe not),
there’s A LOT of other factors that determine if you’re a good team or not |

WR Ryan Grant, who reached agreement with Baltimore on a $29 million deal, failed his physical and his Ravens deal is null and void, per sources. Grant will have to find another deal with another team willing to pass him on his physical.
