I think Forsberg troubles started with COACH Q complete clueless handling of the young goalie before and after Crow went down ..

JJ alluded to this a few times over the years. If, and i stress if, he "interferes" with(in any manner) decisions that should be strictly about the on ice product and how it performs, then he should go as well. If i'm Rocky Wirtz, there isn't a single sacred cow in this entire or-gan-I-za-tion right now. Period!

Perhaps, but as JJ always suggested, if that "interference" is somehow compromising the on ice product, why would Rocky promote that? Winning in sports is always the best marketing tool. You really think the magic wand of McD. was going to turn the corner of the Hawk franchise 8-10 years ago if the dominant hockey on the ice didn't follow/lead that? That's just absurd.

Now? Even when this team was winning 3 Cups this board was largely negative. There would be a two week reprieve or so after a Cup win and then as soon as the parade was over, the torches, pitchforks and "dumb angry mob" (Idiocracy) would reconvene.

Our Forwards suck. Our D suck. Our goalies suck. We are terrible at even strength and special teams are atrocious. The coach sucks. The GM sucks. The front office is full of pompous jerks and everyone they will sign or draft is gonna be even worse than who we have now.

Basically this season is the worst thing to happen in the city of Chicago since some little fire in 1871.

He can only sign a 2 year ELC. The Hawks are in a sad state of the most compelling season to sign is burning a year of a contract.

I think Sikura will look beyond his ELC and position himself to make more money on a better team over his career. That would be a team like the Penguins, not the Blackhawks.
