Kane played his best hockey when he wasn't in the top 6. The Sabres played their best hockey when Kane wasn't in the top 6. I am glad he is having a solid start in San Jose. The fact remains he is dynamite inside the hashmarks. He's almost as worthless outside them as he is good inside them. I hope he gets the contract he is looking for. I am just glad the Sabres aren't the one to pay it.

Nylander in AHL, you know the league ayers go to develop their game until they are ready to step up another level foe the NHL...ya that league gets 2 assists in last 4 games.
Ya, one is clearly performing consistently better than the other at a higher level of competition.

Kane wnet to the dirty areas, Played a solid backchecking game, popped in average of 25 G's, forechecked extremely well, hard to play against. Yes, outside hashmaeks he took lots of dumb shots.
Nylander, 20 years old and still struggling to find his game, which is perimeter based, doesn't work the walls, has what 15 goals in 2 seasons in a lesser league. Can't generate enough O to even take the wild shots, takes plays off...cant even get called up foot a look-see on the 31st team that can't score to save their lives.talj about cricket production.

They are still committed to Eli and they can get 2 1st rounders this year and it will probably cost a 1st next year now.
