but 12 months ago, we were suppose to tank to get one of those "can't miss" qbs
scout them heavy and stand pat, one will probably fall to us at 12 - homiedclown
The key is Denver and NY Giants do they take a QB. If they dont then one of them falls and you have a bunch of trade up spots 6-11 who wont cost nearly as much as 2.
or
Draft Jackson or Rudolph at 12 or 22.

If they want to move up to like 8 or so, one of the 4 should be there
If not stand pat and take Rudolph at 22
Like you said they can get a lot of day 1 starters in this draft.
The fans will be disappointed because they're over emotional, however you have to do what is best for the team in the long run.
McCarron and Tyrod are pretty equal if you ask me. One gets rid of the ball faster (the offense they tried to run) and one uses his legs to keep plays alive.
I want a franchise QB just like the rest of everyone, but the only guy I really really want out of the 4 is Mayfield and he has question marks as well. |

I don't want to move up to draft the next Jake Locker, Mark Sanchez, Matt Leinart, Kyle Boller, or Joey Harrington |

Then Jake Locker should have been the first pick when he decided to go back to school for his senior year. - Stripes77
Little different scenario though.
Locker wasn’t that great the year before when he was talked about as the potential #1 pick. He threw for 2800 yards and had 21 TD’s and 11 picks
Darnold blew those numbers out of the water two years ago. |

The point stays the same. Locker was hyped as the next 1st overall Heisman Trophy guy.

I don't think they draft Jackson
you had a running qb in tyrod and shipped him out to replace him with a pocket passer |

Not because of performance though. His physical tools.
Locker is more like Josh Allen than Darnold |

Again, if anything that is proving my point that none of these guys has taken the reigns as the sure fire can't miss player.
It makes no sense giving up the farm for any of these guys.
I think a move from 12 to 6-9 is doable to get one of them and not cost more than a 2nd and 4th rounder |

I don't know if they do or not, but Jackson is not Tyrod Taylor. Much better pocket presence, and way better arm and size. Yes he runs, and makes plays with his legs...
needs to be more consistent and accurate.

tyrod could throw the deep ball just fine
when he kept it in bounds |

I think Darnold has sort of taken that spot. Not like Luck did, but people forget, a year ago we were talking about the Bills and Jets tanking for Sam Darnold.
That’s how good of a prospect he was considered last year. That’s not like Locker.
A couple bad games shouldn’t change him being the top QB prospect |

26 TD's 13 INTs 63% completion percentage
That doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about a QB |

Sure. I get that, but he was under a ton of pressure as a potential top pick.
It happens to kids who literally turned 20 right before the season started.
Baker Mayfield is 22. So is Rudolph.
Darnold has more growth left than either of those two

He’s the one guy I would move up for at this point. But no I wouldn’t do that much.
I have an awful feeling they actually like Josh Allen and that’s scary.
But I can’t pretend to know how these QB’s will be in the NFL. It’s too unpredictable |

don't think pace would make that move. prolly would take 12 and 22 and maybe a 2nd this year.
maybe just the 2 1st would do it but i would hold out for a 2nd or 3rd this season. |

To move 4 spots up you're not getting both firsts, you're definitely not getting 2 firsts and a 2nd this year.
I could do a 2nd and a 3rd plus 12 obviously this season if needed |

then i would stay at 8. not worth it to me to fall back 4 spots and not really gain anything. |

Didn't kc trade 28th (white)
This year's 1st (22)
To move from 28 to 10 last year?
Moving from 12 to 8 should be like you said a 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 5th.
#12 , Watkins pick (2nd) and ty pick (÷3rd) or darius (5th)
I'm getting really worried about moving up .
Cost is sky rocketing |

You'd gain a 2nd and a 3rd round pick this year (the Bills hold the 1st pick in the 3rd round mind you)
According to the value chart the 8th pick holds a 1400 point value, the 12th pick hold a 1200 point value.
The Bills could offer 12 (1200 points) plus 53 (370 points) plus 65 (265 points)
So 1835 points when technically just pick 53 is enough value
