Colorado is the #1 PK team, despite being the leagues worst face off team.... hmm - sbroads24

Dan Patrick says on @dpshow the #Bills have contacted #Browns about No. 1 pick in draft. Was reported over the weekend #Jets called before moving up to 3. John Dorsey said to call & teams are. |

Which means they're not sold on any of these QB's either...
This sounds very familiar |

out of every 100 faceoffs they lose 6 more than average
thats why its a useless stat because the league worst is barely different than average |

Let me ask you this...
If the Bills trade up to 1 and take Allen what does your emotions feel? |

My hand would most likely be broken from punching the wall
Only one quarterback has ever been successful with a 56% passer rating that is Matthew Stafford
That's basically a lottery ticket
That could get a GM fired in my opinion |

i wonder what faceoff % it would take to actually make a noticeable difference
how many faceoffs won result in a goal (clean win that ends up in a goal without significant cycling, etc). lets assume 5% of faceoffs result directly in a goal without tons of noise between the faceoff and the goal.
the first result i see on google tells me theres ~60 faceoffs per game, so a 60% faceoff team is winning 6 more faceoffs than average per game.
so being a 60% faceoff team would result in .3 extra goals per game if these numbers are somewhat correct? ~1 extra goal every 3.3 games. I think thats decently significant.
Compared to carolina who leads the league at 53.8%, or 2.28 extra faceoffs won per game. Thats .114 goals per game added, 1 goal every 9 games? Prettttty much useless.
Id love to know the actual % of faceoffs that result in a goal directly. If its way higher than 5% that would make a big difference here. |

I’d be shocked if it was even 5%.
There was an article I read a while ago that said you need to win 76.5 more faceoffs than you lose to create a 1 goal difference.
Over the course of a season it’s so minuscule |

i started out with 2% but i think the number is going to jump significantly higher on the powerplay/penalty kill which might bring it up quite a lot
because a faceoff won in the defensive zone is also a potential goal prevented, which makes a difference too |

That has to be a smoke screen there's no way he's going to take a guy that has a 56% passer rating and very little success rate in the NFL
This is just like that Ryan Nassib bs - gerbe75pts
Marrone coached Nassib at Cuse, that's where that came from |

Yeah, that's the road I was trying to type. I should've thought of typing "D1ck" ... Damn. - kritter65
An upside-down "!" works too "¡" looks a lot like an "i" d¡ck. If you have a Mac it's alt-1. if it's windows it's some crazy combo, and you're on your own. |
