Ty Ronning should have went a lot higher then the 7th round then. - manvanfan
Ronning is a halfling, they're worst then half men.
Tchunk is at least taller then 6'.
Ronning would have been a 9th rounder with a different last name.
Top 3 are set unless Svech isn't 18, the next 6 or 7 are close to interchangeable, I see Tchunk closer to the middle or bottom of that group as far as bpa.
My feelings for him arn't bad, he's a top ten pick who's slightly over rated, we just need defencemen and winners more then another middle six center at this time.
My hated isn't irrational or blind like some feel for the twins and others feel for Guddy. |

Svechnikov is 35 and the Canucks are contenders when healthy. Enjoy your dinner |

MrMet19: What could the top 10 in this year’s draft look like, and how many players selected early could make an immediate NHL impact?
Blueliner Rasmus Dahlin is the prize prospect of this draft class and is widely expected to go first overall. He has drawn early comparisons to Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson and is believed to be a true franchise player. As for others that could go early, Adam Boqvist may wind up going in the five to eight range while Noah Dobson, Evan Bouchard, and the undersized but highly skilled Quinn Hughes should go towards the back of the top-ten or before the teens. All in all, it’s a nice top end of the draft for teams looking for help on the back end.
In terms of slotting an early top-ten, Dahlin will go first with scoring wingers Filip Zadina and Andrei Svechnikov going second and third (though they could easily be flipped). Wingers Brady Tkachuk and Oliver Wahlstrom along with Boqvist make up the next tier that should go in the four-to-six range. After that, the other three defensemen should slot in fairly quickly and with this being a poor draft for centers and the number of teams in dire need of help down the middle, I wouldn’t be shocked if someone reached for Joe Veleno by a few spots either to round out a top-ten. Lots can change between now and then though as the playoffs at all the junior and college levels approach. |

I rate the defenceman higher then the forwards outside of the top two and could see bodqvist cracking the top 4 and having wallstrome rated before Tchunk isn't much of a stretch.
Tchunk seems alright, I'm just not quite ready to let him bareback me quitejust yet.

Send in your question. Thats who mrmet19 is. That answer was to the guys question.
I tend to fill out prospects the same way the guy talks about in tiers. Obviously teams view prospects differently. If Van picks at 4 and Boqvist a RHD is there. He is getting picked pver the other two. BPA in that tier you are drafting in. If Van is picking at 5 and boqvist isnt there and its Walhstrom or Tkachuk. Not passing up either for Bouchard or Dobson. If JB wants them. You trade down 3 spots.
Even to Vantels dismay 😂 |

It's funny, the 2004 draft had two of the best players the NHL has ever seen and then the rest of the first round was pretty blah. As you can see by the top of the scoring race, getting the a top three pick is so important to your success if you get that pick right. |

It is quite rare for a top 3 pick to go wrong.
Obviously, Nail Yakupov was not the best but i'm pretty sure that draft was totally up for grabs for anyone within the top 5 to take number 1.
That would also why you probably wouldn't take Boqvist over Svechnikov. The obvious would be that if Boqvist turns out to Erik Karlsson then maybe not BUT Svechnikov has a better chance to turn into Malkin then boqvist turning into Karlsson |
