Barely newsworthy. It makes a lot of sense for Lockwood to finish school, the injuries are pretty serious for a young guy.

he just finished his sophomore season, still has 2 more years of college left... if he has a healthy season next year I bet he runs for the money and signs to cash in. canucks have big leverage over him because of his injury history

I actually think based on talent, the kid never makes it, now let alone with his shoulder issues

He's injured the same shoulder and had surgeries what 3 maybe 4 times? I like that he plays a spirited game, I'm just pointing out the obvious here: if you can't handle being physical as a kid, that doesn't bode well.

Something we all have to come to terms with is MANY of the kids that are talented in other leagues (often) does not translate to the NHL. Boeser is an exception, not the rule. I'd wager one or two (at least) of Gaudette, Juolevi, Pettersson, Dahlen, Lind, Gadjovich, Demko and Dipietro do not make the show or have short but ineffectual careers. It's just the nature of the beast and why JB should be loading up on picks.

i thought you were suggesting he was going to be a free agent, my bad. I epxect them to still do a deal whether or not he has an NHL future. my thoughts are he will still make it, he has the work ethic and seems smart enough to play in a bottom 6 role without needing to be physical

Got under your skin did I.

Love your pom-poms, I think it's great that Cheerleading is so big with the LGTB crowd.

Your order stops making any coherent sense based on any type of knowledge other than your opinion after number 2. I'l stick to the professionals. And like I said, no.

Thats my order if Svech actually turn out to be 24.
He reverts to a top 3 pick if he's the age he says he is.

It's funny, the 2004 draft had two of the best players the NHL has ever seen and then the rest of the first round was pretty blah. As you can see by the top of the scoring race, getting the a top three pick is so important to your success if you get that pick right.

Ladd, wheeler and Schneider are damned good players as well.

Wheeler and Schneider yes, although it took Wheeler a long tome to get to where he is now, Ladd is just ok, those guys can be had in any draft. It's the very top picks that typically produce the guys you need to win.

Ladd is awful. 5.5 million AAV for 31 points last season
probably going to get around the same amount this year too.
He is signed till 2023 or some poop

You have to kick Manvanfan square in the balls to join in, after you've made your own set of pom-poms. And please don't use kelp this time.

He can live in his little bubble all he wants, I said at the beginning of the year this was a bottom team over an 82 game schedule and that's exactly where we are.

Help is on the way but they still need time to grow and develop those kids.

Is he retired? The guy has like 5 more years left and is on a pretty decent Islanders team. He has a cup, so I guess that means he isn't awful.. right.

We need to sign a couple of UFA's to support and teach the young guys while this happens.

His bad contract doesn't make him awful. He has two Cup rings, for the record.

we are literally hovering over LE territory when it comes to career numbers VS AAV, but are able to call Ladd a decent player and LE a complete disaster. Call it like it is, both contracts are bad, and both players aren't anything special.

Ladd is locked in with a NMC till 2023, 5.5 AAV, and produces roughly 30 points per 82.

The #Canucks have told 20 year old F Jakob Stukel that they are not signing him. A 6th round pick in 2016 by Van, Stukel camp trying to see if they can get to pro hockey, they are talking to the NHLPA.

#Canucks said no to Stukel, will they sign 20 year old Sudbury D Cole Candella. Sudbury gm Rob Papineaue tells me says Candella has the skating for pro hockey, "his greatest strength is skating."
