#Canucks said no to Stukel, will they sign 20 year old Sudbury D Cole Candella. Sudbury gm Rob Papineaue tells me says Candella has the skating for pro hockey, "his greatest strength is skating." - LeftCoaster

Side note, watching Stecher blow up Kane last game was amazing |

With his 1G, 1A today, Morgan Frost has hit the 70 assist mark and also became Flyers first d+1 prospect since Claude Giroux in 2006-07 to reach 112 points in a CHL season.

He can live in his little bubble all he wants, I said at the beginning of the year this was a bottom team over an 82 game schedule and that's exactly where we are.
Help is on the way but they still need time to grow and develop those kids. - LeftCoaster
What bubble. I said the team was a .500 hockey club at best this year if things went well.
I guess my bubble just don't include whining and complaining about everything. |

The #Canucks have told 20 year old F Jakob Stukel that they are not signing him. A 6th round pick in 2016 by Van, Stukel camp trying to see if they can get to pro hockey, they are talking to the NHLPA.

a GM should be able to recognize if a prospect is worth a contract or not. Cedarholm and Stewart should have never received ELC's. Candella and Stukel are no different imo |

What part of we are taking about the careers of guys drafted in 2004 are you not understanding? - LeftCoaster
Krejci was also drafted that year.
Edler, Rinne, Hansen, green, streit. Was a pretty good year. |

Shame. Those were two of the players I wanted in that draft. Both could sign ATO with Utica. Save the contract spaces this year for College players. |

for sure, an example of Benning's learning curve. Thos guys never deserved contracts and he is now being more selective. Not sure why this wasn't a lesson he learned while being an AGM |

Nowhere near Ovechkin and Malkin though, which was the point of my comment. If you want elite talent 90% or more of the time it comes from early in round one. |

why would we sign them? What promise have they shown.
That is what has kind of always bothered me. I remember when Anton Cedarholm broke a medicine ball during development camp, and the entire canuck fan base thought we had the next Scott Stevens. Gunnarsson does 20 clean bench press reps, Canuck fans think we have a physically superior mutant kid, yet he has 0 points all season. Points ultimately, to me, aren't the be-all-end-all of a prospect, but why waste contract space on fringe ECHL/AHL players. |

No, are you (frank)in kidding me???? I want them to win a Cup but if they're too stupid to and continually making bad decisions I don't feel sorry for them. |

It can be hard to compare sometimes, but Rinne and Schneider are elite goalies. |
