How do you value a draft pick? I would think they'd be losses, especially Tyrod, whose "value" was $16M. The first pick in the 3rd round isn't worth near that.

Sure, but you have to take into account the value that Tyrod provides on the field that is now lost. Minus the sarcastic "Tyrod sux!". You have to go out an pay a guy, maybe use that pick, but it's still very likely a loss. Also how do you put a monetary value on a player's play?
