First time through the series as a whole, yes, I saw the first 2 seasons a long time ago, but stopped for whatever reason. I saw the odd episode when it was on, but I liked the Sopranos more.

What about an injured player? You're paying him, but he's not giving you any value. And you give the contract before services rendered, you're paying what you hope is a fair value, but players under and overperform all the time. Teams would fight tooth and nail to try and minimize their exposure using any little argument they can get their grubby hands on. I know from personal experience with these banana eaters that work for the insurance company try and use any little excuse to avoid paying for something. And that's over relative peanuts.

I need back surgery, and in order to fulfill the guidelines I need to have first exhausted more conservative treatments like injections(which they drag their feet on approving), and 6 weeks of PT/chiropractic care, so they first approve 3 weeks, and then refuse to approve the rest, and then deny the surgery because I didn't have the requisite treatments done beforehand. So we have to schedule a hearing to fight it only for the judge to tell them to stop acting like bumholes, and approve the surgery right then and there. Right now they're fighting to take away a drug that costs $40 a month. I've had 2 hearings about it already.

You think a lawyer for a billion dollar enterprise fighting over something worth millions isn't going to pull out all the stops?

It’ll never end and they’ll call it all that. It’s a slippery slope. Much like the law NYS is trying to pass about tipped employees and the owner has the right to delegate those tips how they seem fit. In they’re own pocket is an option.

I'm halfway through the final season. If you don't count Band of Brothers because it was technically a miniseries I would put it right up with Oz and Deadwood. I don't know that I could pick a #1 out of those 3. I would put Band Of Brothers as the best thing they've done, just.
