You need to get over what conference these guys played in
If that is your basis for an argument it's a terrible one.
The Super Bowl winning coach went against conventional coaching wisdom in key parts of the game and went for it on 4th down.
We all know what the charts say (hint it says go for it) but 95% of the coaches in the league would have punted.
Be a visionary, go against conventional thinking if that's what you truly believe is the best thing to do. |

I mean yeah but you also have a better chance of busting out and completely setting back the franchise.
Imagine if Washington didn't pay an arm and a leg for RG3 and just went with Cousins instead in the 3rd round and used those picks to give him some freaking help.
Derek Carr
Russell Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Kirk Cousins
Drew Brees
Dak Prescott
Jimmy G
Big Ben
Deshaun Watson
All guys drafted after the top 10 that Bills fans would be extremely happy to have as their QB - Stripes77
It’s so easy we should do it ....
Oh wait nvm

You're also leaving out Manning, Manning and Rivers 1, 1, and 4 respectively.
Matt Ryan was 3, Stafford was 1, Newton 1, Luck 1, And if you're going to list Carr, you have to list Bortles at 3 who has more yards on less completions and has actually won playoff games. - Wetbandit1
The entire point of my post was QB's not taken in the top 10
Why would I list those guys who were taken in the top 10?
Do you want me to list QBs who were taken in the top 10 and we busts?
Bortles won 1 playoff game being a QB (Pittsburgh game) he also won 1 game having more rushing yards than passing (Buffalo game)
He isn't a QB that Bills fans would be happy about having |

Whether or not the big12 has produced good QBs in the PAST...
Has ABSOLUTELY ZERO effect on whether or not Mayfield &/or Rudolph will be good QBs
Would u not pick Rosen bc UCLA hasn’t produced a great QB since Aikman?
Would u pass on Darnold bc USC hasn’t produced a good QB since Carson Palmer?
I’m not worried about any of that at all |

It's not about trading up to get a guy, it's about drafting the right guy, and not stop drafting QBs until you have the right guy. |

Like the Redskins did when they moved up for RG3
Like they almost knew he had bust potential and drafted Cousins that same year in the 3rd round (and lost him for nothing mind you)
Take a guy at 12 take a guy at 65 too while you're at it - Stripes77
Would u say that Philly & the Rams should’ve stood pat and not traded up as well?
I doubt it

My 2 cents:
If they can get Jackson at 12, I say do it. If not, trade that pick for a later first this year and another next year, and take a QB next year after sucking big time this year. |

I love Sam I think he’s going to be the best quarterback in the draft the Connor McDavid
Rosen- Jack Eichel
I just look at the history of the big 12 and how they have been produced quarterbacks
It’s just my opinion Of course

Actually history shows do not give up your future to trade up to get a QB
It has worked how many times?
1 (and he wasn't even playing in the playoffs due to injury)
If you're in position to draft high do it and take your QB
But don't mortgage your future on 1 guy because in the NFL it doesn't work

I know, you're saying they don't need to go up and draft one because there are guys outside, and that's absolutely true, but as a group I'd rather have the guys I listed, minus Bortles(I only added him because you added Carr, who IMO isn't as good as his rep). |

All of us are gonna be pretty tough to listen to
I really don’t know what we should do
Pros/Cons to standing pat and moving up
I just definitely DO NOT want anything to do with Allen or Jackson
HUGE bust potential for those guys
And i don’t like Darnold’s mechanics,
but that’s fixable |

Did the Rams win?
Philly won without Wentz
Until Wentz wins while actually playing he would be the 1st QB that a team has traded up to the top 5 that has won a Super Bowl...
I am not counting Elway or Eli here since the teams that drafted him traded him for players drafted in the top 5 that year |

Huge, huge BUST potential
The guy is inaccurate and a poor decision maker
His athleticism could counter that in college,
but can it in the NFL?
He’s a really big risk
I wouldn’t wanna do it |

"You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take" - John Scott, I think.
They should be taking a QB in rounds 1 or 2 until they find a QB imo. |

Winning a Super Bowl is a team effort
If you’re a Rams or a Philly fan,
are u happy that u traded all those picks for Wentz & Goff
That answer is YES
Unequivocally yes |

Sure it is, even more of a reason to not give away future picks for a guy that might be
Literally no QB that a team has traded up for in the top 5 of the draft has won a Super Bowl for that team (while playing, I think Wentz would have gotten it done though so he would have been there 1st ever)
Junior wants to talk history, there is his history. |
