Lets see how they decide to come out in the third. That will show what this team is really about.

That wasn't legit old Simmer, no hits, fights, or penalties, and his 2 goals were even strength.

I can understand why Pete was pulled - Hak wanting to get the team to wake up defensively, but I understand why Pete was PO'd also.

He certainly wanted to play well/win in front of his ex team. Despite a bad 2nd goal, Hak didn't give him a chance to do that. But if I was the coach, I wouldn't worry about any individual player's feelings at this point either. The team needs to win this game and unless they decide to show up any time soon, it'll be a bad evening.

Not arguing, just adding on.

I can understand Petr's emotion but I don't agree with it. As a player/goalie, which is more important; your personal pride of besting your personal past, or your team trying to do what they feel is best to survive despite your performance? We all have bad days, and Petr has had more than enough in his short term here; but even he will have to see that the coach is doing what he feels is best for their playoff future. If and/or when the Flyers make the playoffs he can revel that he helped a team make the playoffs and achieve whatever success they achieve from there. It is not a storybook, but it is enough.

Petr is not performing well enough to be the cause of unrest on any team.
