That is just piss poor by Hakstol. Giroux is clutch and has potted some disgusting shootout goals. Two youngsters in there instead of G? At this time of year? Shootout should have been G, Filipula, and maybe Couturier. FWIW I've never really been impressed with Jake in the skills comp.

I have to say that Jordan Weal is one of the biggest disappointments this year. From MVP of the A to solidifying a spot on the Flyers roster last season playing great puck to end the season. He's just come up short and only shown few and far between flashes of top 6 goodness this season with plenty of chances.

It amazes me how sucking in shootouts is just accepted. Routinely just pissing a point away. Doesn't matter the coach, the skaters, the goaltenders its the same poop year after year. By far the worst shootout record of any team in the NHL.

I guarantee the shooting % is the way bigger issue in shootouts as opposed to save %. Flyers goaltenders haven't been good historically in shootouts, but the shooters are the most futile I've seen. How often do the shooters go 0-3?
