That's one season. When I think of "unable to stay healthy," I think more of a player like Myers or Neuvirth, players with multiple injuries multiple years. Morin didn't miss a single game due to injury his first 2 pro seasons.

Yeah he is 1 or 2 on pretty much everyone's list. Samsonov is up there, which is good for the Caps, but still might not make up for them hilariously drafting him 22nd overall in 2015.

Won't mean a thing if they can't make holtby contract. I would think another first 2 round loss this year you would have to think about tearing it down and re building around kuznetsov orlov grubauer etc

Right.

But this season he was either a) mis-managed or b) unable to stay healthy.

Recency bias is a beotch.

being able to stay healthy is on the players, not the team

it's on both - if one or the other isn't honest about the situation it could lead to more problems and/or longer recovery time

Oh, he definitely was unable to stay healthy this season, but it's a singular issue that should be easily fixed and should not be a chronic issue.

Players like Myers and Neuvirth seemingly have at least one major injury per season, whether they be chronic or not.

The timing of Morin's injuries were as bad as the injuries themselves.....right when he was being considered to make the jump.

I haven't watched I just saw he let in 5 goals and then let in 1 goal. Saw a tweet that he was coming back to Allentown, but he hasn't been officially called up

Wonder what they'll do. Muse and Tokarski have both been playing well. I guess they could rest both of them for the final few games if they get their spot locked in.

What's more important playoff positioning with 2 guys that will never play in the nhl for us or the future of a potential nhl prospect ?

I truly don't know when it comes to this organization

list of terms that deserve to be fired into the sun:
-injury prone
-confidence
-bridge contracts
- +/-
- veteran presence
- Dale Weise

*note: Dale Weise is a person, not a term, but was included on the list out of relative necessity

Provorov 8th in nhl in goals for defenseman. One of the leaders in ice time. Not one mention for norris.

No respekt

I think that they want a long AHL playoff run to get these guys pro-level playoff experience, so I think they'd want to lock up the best spot they can as opposed to letting a guy get 10 games in at the tail end of the season.

Were this January and there were 35+ games to play, then maybe they try to get him back up to speed.

Dale Weise brings a veteran presence but his +/- is towards the bottom of the roster. He's been injury prone in the past, I'm sure that plays into his confidence. Bridge contracts.

He's also 34th in total points. I think Ghost has a more legit shot at the Norris, given that he's seen the same 5v5 competition as Provorov for the better part of the season.

Add that pejorative as well. There's really no need for that here.
