I just think it's almost as long of a shot as the Canucks getting Dahlin lol

I think you're confusing your hate...It's the Ruskies that are the problem!

If (and it's a big if, that i'm not really willing to consider, only in imaginary scenario's) we drafted Dahlin 1st OA and Elias Pettersson made the squad, that would perhaps be the only scenario where i'd be happy to keep Edler and Sedin's around for another year.

I wonder how that would go down around here.

to be clear, I do think you have to take it on a player by player basis. Most importantly, whe nthey start to waver, send them down. Bo never wavered, boeser didn't waver. The other three certainly did Hutton was promoted when he started playing bad. An odd reward. JV was getting more ice than he knew what to do with. Stecher is a similar case. I think you have to err on the side of caution. Putting young guys in too early CAN be a huge mistake. Exceptional players may change that. Including our top5 pick this year but they should have to earn it and keep earning it or get sent down. Gaudette is 21 6'1 185 and playing very well. He looks poised to make the team, if I had to bet on one guy it would be him.

Look at it this way, if we leave a hole for a player and they falter then we're either stuck plaguing them when they're not ready or else we call up Megna or Chaput. Nobody wants that, do they?

Bpa we currently have 2 good nhlers. Our de sucks most our forwards also arent good

Other than the upcoming draft, the next big event for the Canucks has too be the expansion draft. Wonder which scrub Seattle takes off our hands, Gagner, Erickson(hopefully) or will they just give us a draft pick so they dont have to take anyone?

If Gaudette can even reach a Nick Bonino level I'd be ecstatic. People tend to overrate the ceiling of a player who is dominating college at 21 when most of them turn into useful/specialty third liners.

Some kind of skills coach needs to teach JV how to load and shoot faster (heh) because for a guy with as heavy a shot as he has it is barely used unless he has about an arm and a stick length of space

You do realize 9 forwards don't have a contract after July 1st . There is no better time than this summer to change the roster
