I think he's a perfectly fine 4th liner and if it wasn't for the like 7 other 4th liners under contract there would quite literally be no reason for any words to every be worded about him

If Gaudette can even reach a Nick Bonino level I'd be ecstatic. People tend to overrate the ceiling of a player who is dominating college at 21 when most of them turn into useful/specialty third liners.

Some kind of skills coach needs to teach JV how to load and shoot faster (heh) because for a guy with as heavy a shot as he has it is barely used unless he has about an arm and a stick length of space

I think they would attack more than defend . All three are reliable defensively and two of them have an attack first attitude. Gaunce is also good at creating turn overs in the O Zones

My other choice would be to have Gaunce-Sutter-Archibald as a checking line to play the tough dzone minutes against top lines and then try JV-Gaudette-??? as a line to play more freely and attack

If EP comes along as a winger and not a center this team might not make the playoffs under Horvat's contract which seems impossible but then also really probable.

Literally the entire forwards corp in this "rebuild" relies on EP becoming Nick Backstrom.
