the problem IMO, this team started out in a funk and needed a shake up
rather than making a bold move to shake up the locker room, they added wilson

but he is a bottom 6 guy, hardly a difference maker - homiedclown
Kane probably should have been the move 10 games in.
Erod hurt to start the season hurt us. He has 18p in 38g now. Not great, but infinitely better than Moulson, Crisco, Griffith, Gus, Larsson, Nolan and even Josefson. Wilson helped stabilize that group of terrible players, too. Bailey and Baptiste would have helped.
The bottom six was a dumpster fire early on. I think they've identified some guys going forward.
Now they have to figure out who the hell is gonna play on the left side in the top-2 lines.
This is a long-winded way of saying the bottom six was an absolute tire fire. he's improved it marginally, which is a worthy use of an asset imo. It would be nice if they took him out of the top-6, but they can't yet.

While I agree with this, I think he did the right thing in waiting.
Honestly even next year I don’t think it is a good idea to go out and chase FA’s.
Promote the youth, and ride that out. Try to trade Ror, he is talented but he just doesn’t fit. Trade Okposo, he is talented but again can’t keep up. The trade of all trades...Bogo, it’s not impossible but even just one of these moves is going to send a strong message.
Eichel made clear when he spoke about coming back to finish the season. There is no chemistry with this group on the ice.
I’m on my train ride back to NYC, Buffalo 9 months is long enough. I hope I don’t ever come back until there is a championship parade.

Wilson was a decent use of a low-percentage asset - jcragcrumple
I was going to use the trades of Wilson and Kane but I think Boss was just using off season moves. I still like the Wilson add, but like many I don't like his use. I understand it, but I don't like it.

It's subtle, but I think it was for a culture change. Bringing in Wilson and Nolan, letting Moulson go, trading Kane. Say what you want about the former two, but they bring it every night. They've also won a total of 4 cups. (Don't correct me, I'm close).
