I don't. School has always been his top priority. It has been since the day we drafted him. The Sabres would be stupid not to gun for him full bore this year when SCSU is done with the tournament. Doesn't mean he'll sign, but he might. His degree is extremely important to him.

So, we'll see. Pretty common for mid round picks to sign after year 3, which is where Borgen is now. Will only have a year left of off-season schooling to do.

Budik, Osmanski, Willman, Peterson and Hagel will all need to be either signed or released this year. College guys by August something, CHL guys by June.

A recent article by SB Nation made it sound like Olofsson is all but a lock to be in Rochester next year.

Not sure if it was discussed yesterday, but Glotov was signed by the Cyclones. Nice chance to grow to maybe make Rochester in a year or two.

I won't hazzard a guess as to who the new regime likes of GMTM's picks, but they are close to the contract limit, so they can't sign everyone.

I'd love to see Borgen and/or Brickley in Sabre uniform, to close the season.

He wasn't even redrafted. Even with all his offensive prowess. Maybe it's the intangibles. Lazy? Unwilling to learn? Not willing to commit to his own end? Seems strange that NO ONE wanted him even with a 7th round pick.

it's easy to move contracts around. Brycen Martin, Vaclav Karabacek, Eric Cornel for future considerations or conditional 7ths, 2 for 1's etc. Plus all the vets on one year deals on the Amerks. But I hear ya.

Definitely like to see those two in the org next season.
