Apparently on 31 thoughts with Friedman and Marek, they speculated that Ristolainen could be shopped by the Sabres. It was last week. I never saw it mentioned - sbroads24
They should shop everyone. Not sure moving Ristolainen will help this team, but I'm sure they know what they're doing. |

Jesus. Keep him. Why do we have to get rid of everybody? We have a terrible record of keeping and developing our own. I have no problem with Risto going forward. |

Because 31st.
Not everybody. Just guys we can replace and get better for it. A la Bills.
Sammy Watkins? Get a starting corner and a 2nd, which is like a mid 1st in hockey.
Ronald Darby? Get a starting receiver and a 3rd, which is like a high 2nd in hockey.
Currency to build your team while staying competitive short and long term goals. |

It would be a big mistake in the short term. If their plan is to move ROR and Risto and move the timeline further down the road, I'm done. They need to be better next year. |

before i was attacked by the the knights of the eye test templar, i mentioned that no matter what they may think of him internally, he still holds a lot of league wide value.
If you land a d-man through the draft and have bought into Guhle, you might be able to include him in a package for someone even better or move him for a boatload of assets, giving you flexibility.
This is all based the idea that the value is true to what we believe, if it's not i think most of us would be content having him here at reduced role/minutes.

"Bovada released updated Super Bowl 53 odds following free agency, and the Bills are near the bottom of the list with 66/1 odds. To put that in perspective, the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals and Washington all share those 66/1 odds. The only four teams with worse odds than the Bills are the Miami Dolphins (70/1), the Chicago Bears (80/1), the Cincinnati Bengals (90/1) and the New York Jets (100/1). "

They aren't doing it on purpose. Some newer cars are made that way. My wife's Chevy Cruze has "stop/start technology". Engine shuts off at stops. Supposed to save gas, I guess.
