Pat Verbeek's son reportedly close to signing with an NHL team.

30 goals this year, only one was on the power play.

I've also been meaning to share this for the last few days. A friend of mine has a wife who works at the hospital KO went to after getting hit the other day, in the neurological wing and he told me his wife said to him, without giving any details, that man should no be playing hockey. Just wanted to share that little bit of info. He also said a few employees got heavily fined and suspended for going into KO's medical files when they weren't suppose to be in them. Those employees are probably the ones who leaked the information on what happened with him over the summer.

This will be an interesting week. Seems like JB loves college players.

Hear me out, and I know this sounds crazy, but:

Maybe playing your best player with Girgensons and Pominville is a bad idea.

I really hope that Housley is in on the tank. If he honestly thinks that 28 and 29 are better options than Bailey, Baptiste and Pouliot, then we are in trouble.

Girgs really brought that "next level" tonight

I understand the thinking. Personally, I think Jack needs a winger with some grit that can get him the puck and get to the net. Okposo has been the closest thing, and for whatever reason, they don't pair them. Tkachuk's a better version. He's also looked good with Mittlestadt. Not pushing for him #2, but if we walk away with him, I'll be content.

I think we'd be happy with Tkachuk eventually and as much as the Sabres need more bad ass in them ....... I think we need scoring help first.

He's a man who is going to sacrifice his health for the future of his kids ....... simple as that imo. Can't fault him for that ...... many have done so before.

There's no way he is. He's just benching those guys out of frustration.

So his plan is to bench the players who play with pace and skill in order to play the guys who play the game The Right Way™

Awesome. Baptiste hasn't gotten a chance to play with Eichel this year, but the Latvian locomotive has been so impressive during his 6-game pointless streak that he HAS to play with Eichel

If it was just Phil, I'd probably jump in and bash him. When the exact same patterns happened with Disco Dan, I question those players.

I'm guessing ROR on that wide open net? He did have to bring the puck below the line and then back up, but still...

Disco didn't have Pouliot, Bailey or Baptiste on the roster. Or Pominville for that matter
