Disco didn't have Pouliot, Bailey or Baptiste on the roster. Or Pominville for that matter - jcragcrumple
He had Bailey and Baptiste. Was talking about those two.

scandella is the most under rated sabre - homiedclown
He's just there most of the time, doesn't make too many stupid plays, doesn't make a ton of big plays either, usually just winds up all Zhitnik style and misses. |

He's a man who is going to sacrifice his health for the future of his kids ....... simple as that imo. Can't fault him for that ...... many have done so before. - fastek
He can just sit at home and collect $6M for the next 5 years after this one. He just goes on permanent IR. There's nothing to force him to retire. |

Chicago might as well start making Dahlin jersey's for sale now. The league is not going to let them be years in the rebuild stage. A quick stop at the bottom to pick up a new franchise Dman, and the ship will be righted again. - sskkoo1
Weren't they a relatively terrible team for years back in the Tony Amonte days? |

I'm guessing ROR on that wide open net? He did have to bring the puck below the line and then back up, but still... - Wetbandit1
IMO, if ROR was available and the cap was a non-issue, GMJB would have 29 teams making offers(minus Colorado, obviously).
Regardless of all the sh!t he gets on this board, the man is a good fkn hockey player.
I would take a player like him on my team any day. |

but it is a cap era
and we are dead last, with him playing over 1/3 of every game
a small market like buffalo can't pay a center 7.5 mil for 3rd line production even strength |

he gets more hate than he deserves. He's the only guy who can produce near league average at 5v5, usually among the best at zone exits (pre guhle and nelson) and only makes 1.6 mil. |

But there is a cap, and there's 5 years left on his deal.
If there wasn't, he'd be an ideal 3C for a lot of teams.

if mccabe is stink lite, scandella is Michigan landfill. He's not good in any zone, not particularly fast and not overly phsyical either.
He's the definition of replacement level, except he's making 4 mil and getting top pair minutes. |

I get that, I was just saying...
And if someone can name a single forward on this team not named Eichel that they would want playing more than ROR, I'm all ears.
He gets the ice time because we literally have no one else. We have no depth.
Sure, you can argue he doesn't make his linemates better, but his linemates certainly don't make him better either. |

The most disappointing thing to me about O’Reilly, outside of him not being very good offensively, is the fact that his supposed leadership he was bringing is a complete and total facade.
He’s not a leader, he’s not captain material. He’s a guy who decides to start playing hard when we’re down 3 goals. |

@Gerbe
Just like I said:
“Without victim cooperation,” the report stated, referring to the building owner, the amount of loss cannot be determined.
In addition to not having a cooperative victim and lack of proof establishing the monetary amount of damages, the report stated, California law requires “malice,” the intent to do a wrongful act with intent to annoy or injure someone else.
Jones decision to assume financial responsibility for the $20,000 in damages also convinced the building’s representatives to decline pressing charges. |

Weren't they a relatively terrible team for years back in the Tony Amonte days? - BareMetal
Terrible is an understatement. During the late 90's Early 2000's they were one of the worst teams. Found this about Chicago during that period: "A somber note was struck in February 2004 when ESPN named the Blackhawks the worst franchise in professional sports." They were a laughing stock for a while there until they got Toews, Kane, Keith, etc. Think about how the Sabres have been the last few years, especially this year with barely any people going to the games, that was the Blackhawks back then.
Hopefully the Hockey Gods and NHL decide it is time for a new team to rise from the ashes and they give Buffalo the top pick.

I don't know about all of that. I think most of the problem with him is that he is overpaid for who he is. That said... there is something about him that just seems to stink a little bit but I don't know that I can quantify what it is. |
