The way this blog is written you'd have to think that the Sabres were a better team than they are.
Writing about how they have flip flopped in and out of the playoffs the last few years... meanwhile what have the sabres done? Calling out Prices numbers in a year where the Defence is atrocious and he's dealt with consistent injuries is a bit misleading as well.

MTL sucked this year... may miss the playoffs again next year... but will also likely finish ahead of the Sabres again.

Kind of tough to gauge SB's when one 6th round pick is in most of them.

Take a look at the amount of successful 2nd and 3rd round QB's that are out there compared with first, that's the question you need to ask.

Did we "fail" to move into #3? I guess, if you can believe 2nd hand sources.

Or maybe one or both teams didn't like what the other were offering. Perhaps Beane didn't want to mortgage as much as the Jets did. Which, frankly, I don't blame him. I know you feel different. But this team lacks so much.

Scratching Bailey at a meaningless point in the season when he could be playing with Eichel (why not? It would at least be fun), or continue the Bailey-Erod-Baptiste line, which again, was at least fun to watch.

Girgensons with Eichel is awful. It just is. Occassionally he has a puck go off his skate. other than that, he's a spinning, falling boat anchor with hands of stone. The only position he should play is 4C

Whether they're worth keeping. Put a guy up with the guy who makes players better. They're all third and 4th liners. Every one of them.

I think at this juncture they're playing exhibition style. See what works and who's worth keeping.

Nobody is gona make Girgs or Nolan better. That's just my opinion. ROR can make Wilson better, and Pouliot is a decent scorer. It would be interesting to to see if Eichel could make Bailey better, but the scoreless Girgensons "has taken his game to a whole new level"

The bills not getting the #1 or #2 pick is not a fail. Those teams need to be willing to move their picks and at this point it seems like they are content to take Darnold and Chubb.
