Been following Tri-City Americans for last 2+ seasons and like these 2 kids, 1 is available as a free agent the other we could pick up in this draft.

Topping as a free agent. Sure.

Picking a 19 year old that isn't a ppg in the WHL. No.

If we don't get Dahlin, there's another Rasmus playing for SSM could land early 2nd round. He's playing on SN right now.

So which drafted players this year could crack this fortress type line up out of training camp ? Dahlin and who else is anyone?

Once Gaudette gets into the lineup, who do you put him with?
- Eldebrink

Depends on if 3C or 4C my guess is 4C.

Evaluating players solely on points again are we.
This kid would be a decent 5th or later pick.

Another fine pick by the Vancouver Braintrust

If I'm not mistaken I think we traded to SJ part of the Ehrhoff deal. So not all bad.

Do you think Boqvist is NHL ready?
- VANTEL

He's not. Most likely a year or two away.

Karlsson played another year in Sweden then 10 games in the AHL.

Friendly bet no one drafts him this year?

I watched the game the other day. Watching this game. He reminds me of watching DP play in junior.

Out of curiosity, I've taken a look at the schedule for each of the bottom 5 teams. While anything is possible this time of year, it looks like Buffalo and Arizona have the fewest games that are plausibly "winnable" (based on standings, though the Coyotes have been on a bit of a roll), followed by the 'Nucks & Sens, followed by Detroit.

Buffalo (58 pts) -- games against Detroit, Ottawa
Arizona (61) -- Calgary, Vancouver
Vancouver (61) -- Edmonton, Arizona, Edmonton
Ottawa (63) -- New York, Detroit, Buffalo
Detroit (65) -- Montreal, Buffalo, Ottawa, Montreal, New York

I'd guess Buffalo to finish 31st, followed by either Vancouver or Arizona.

What is good fodder about turning a first round pick into 2 years service for a trade?

How about drafting players that turn out staying 7 -8 years instead?

I haven't noticed him being around, jail term or watching the Canucks play will kill any inner spirit.
- A_SteamingLombardi

I'm sure a new place to argue can be found during that month of "camping".
