Getting a bottom of the barrel guy at 12th overall?
You're joking right?
I have never once said they don't need a QB
You guys are overly emotional about it, think rationally and you'll understand why it might not be the best idea to give up all of those picks for a guy that nobody can say who the clear cut best QB in the draft is. - Stripes77
Nope, Mayfield, Allen, Rosen and Darnold will all be gone before 10.
You get the guy no one else wanted.
but lets hope that some guy may slide because "Hey, its happened before" |

Just like I said Casey had all the Leverage on the sabres
Sucks were burning a year but I'm happy he's in the organization Light It Up |

Update to my original claim based on his birthday...I guess its not as easy as looking at Sept 15 and saying yeah or nah.
Well that sucks to burn a year, not sure how that impacts expansion draft in 2020 (if it happens) I think hes ok if he just plays NHL, but if they send him to AHL for playoffs too this would count as apro year for him? - DDM-Coga
He's not eligible for AHL playoffs, he would have had to sign an ATO |

He got his free money ...
There's no way the Sabres wanted to burn a year on his contract they just didn't want to risk losing him which is understandable |

All of it depends on what the Giants do
Denver might take a QB might not the only sure two teams that take a QB are Cleveland and the Jets
The rest is just pure speculation on your part.

He's too young to go straight to ROC? - Buffalo--Sabres
he could go there, but hes ineligible for playoffs(?) and it would burn a year of his ELC anyways, so why bother. |

Because Mittelstadt is a late birthdate (Nov/98), he burns the first-year of his entry-level contract as soon as he signs it, but he does not get to count this season as a pro year, which means he won’t need to be protected for expansion draft (assuming it’s in 2020).

When his entry-level contract expires in 2020, he won’t be a full RFA. That is, like Johnny Gaudreau and Jaden Schwartz, amongst others, who graduated entry-level with limited experience, he won’t be able to receive an offer sheet and has no salary arb rights etc.

Arizona is trying to trade up, Miami, Denver, NYJ, Cleveland.
but again, hey lets use your strategy and maybe get lucky one day.
your strategy relates to the Bills making the playoffs based on a miracle play by Andy Dalton.
These QB's have been talked about for 2-3 years and all of the sudden they are going to start sliding down the draft board because again "Hey it happens every year"
18 years without a QB, GO up get the guy you want, whatever the cost.
Add - there are probably a few other teams that could move up as well to draft one. Dod anyone think the Chiefs would move up to draft a QB last year.? |

Win-win for both sides. Casey gets paid, Sabres still can protect him from Seattle. |

Arizona and Miami are probably 50/50 I would say Arizona would probably be the team to take a QB.
Denver just paid big money to Keenum and they feel they could win now so why would they take a QB?
It is all a song and dance at this point.
Nobody outside of the inner circles have any idea, so you stay with your speculative notion and drive yourself crazy for the next month |
