Per 60 mins, he's actually pretty decent.

It'd be very fascinating to sit in on those negotiations. What makes a guy like Will Borgen just sign an ATO and accept that he needs to play for Rochester, where Mittelstadt simply says I'm staying in college if you don't let me play for Buffalo? Or perhaps, Botts partially agrees with the scenario and wants to see how he performs in the NHL and get that 8 game tryout going.

You see a lot of guys that talk about how helpful getting the cup of coffee in the NHL helps their early development, Clayton Keller for example. Going to Arizona last year at the end of the year helped him tremendously in the summer to prepare. Botts likely has this in mind and wants the same for CM.

Sam's deal has gotten a lot tougher. I was thinking 2x4m, before he started playing well. Don't think they can get him that cheap now.

Lehner is a pita, with arb rights. They really have to consider not qualifying him. If JB gets anything of value for him, it's solid work.

Will be fun to watch JB this summer, big decisions to make. Nice to have the Mittlestadt deal done, one less thing to handle.

Unless you're specifically targeting a guy, trading down is always going to be smarter than trading up. And you aren't going to be specifically targeting a guy a month away from the draft with the 12th pick.

Unless there are 12 guys they have graded equally, its a stupid trade.

Again we gave up a cap dump to move down. Regardless who we get it was a great trade. We can always trade the 12th if our guy is gone.

You guys keep making it sound like it’s so easy to move down to a top 3 pick. If teams don’t want to do it they aren’t gonna. It was easy for the jets because they had another elite pick. Buffalo had picks in the 20s.
