Look where that team is. - manvanfan
Who cares, he has contributed to 49% of his teams goals. That’s pure insanity. |

Is EK suggesting a possible Draisaitl for Karlsson trade?

Art Ross is for scoring
The Hart for MVP is a whole other matter entirely. A non PO team rarely if ever has an MVP for good reason.
Say NO to McDavid
Hall or Marchand are better picks |

there has been a huge debate recently, because of McDavid's output, as to whether non-playoff contributing players should ever win the Hart. I personally don't think it matters. What McDavid is doing, on a terrible Oilers team, is nothing short of amazing. At the same time, the Hart should not be a direct result of point/goal totals. |

If we are talking about MVP + playoffs, that's what the Conn Smythe is for |

Disagree. If Avs make the post-season, Mackinnon wins the Hart over McDavid. |

it literally has nothing to do with the playoffs though. It is a regular season award. |

you are talking about an individual regular season award though. We aren't talking team goals. Either way, for the sake of the thread, I will just say that I will agree to disagree. |

Taking a team to the PO’s on ones back has everything to do with winning the MVP |

Art Ross is an INDIVIDUAL award.
The Hart is what a player means & does for his team & scoring is not the only factor. |

Its a tough debate. On one hand, its an individual award and the performance of McDavid has been remarkable. As Don says, involvement on 49% of the team's offense? Crazy
On the other hand, the award is given to the most valuable to its team, which you could make the case brings in the team's success into discussion. Without Mackinnon or Hall their teams are no where near the playoffs, which is considered a benchmark achievement, while Oilers still miss
McDavid makes it tough because he's having an amazing season, but personally I still lean towards Hall, as he has score big and timely goals getting his team valuable points in the standings |

I in no way think that Hall and McKinnon don't deserve nominations, or even don't deserve the Hart. They are having incredible seasons, and are absolutely worthy. I also think Marchand is in the running. I just personally don't think McDavid should be ruled out of the conversation, because he absolutely ridiculous. |

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see oilers trade away Draisaitl. Self-destruction complete. |

What else are we going to talk about? Whether someone's draft rankings changed from yesterday? Gaudette's holdout? Or 2020 roster lineups? |
